We aren't from Oregon. Shawn did live in Medford from infant to third grade.

However, I went to graduate school atthe University of Oregon and Shawn did his undergraduate school there as well. The five years we lived there went by so fast. We both have degrees from there and needless to say - we are HUGE Duck fans. We go back to Eugene every fall to attend a football game.

Makes sense now!! Thanks for the update! And we're native Oregonians so we try and go to the games but it's a drive for us! They're so much fun though!!! My extended family went there but my parents and I went to smaller colleges in the state (and briefly outside)! Great school though!!!

Lisa, mine didn't love them either, but this time Molly will have friends walking on board, thanks to Steph & Taylor & Marr & Jacinda. Wilson will be happy with computers and stuff. I've decided to let them check in and out TOGETHER. That will be the hard part I'm sure, because I bet the girls will want to go somewhere and Wilson won't and he will get to call her shots. I'll have to come up with some coupons that they can use between each other to avoid that fight.

Or rotate days that one gets to chose when to leave.

We are all stuck together! I can't afford 2 cabins and at first dh wasn't going.

I thought so !!!! Okay, I figure we talk at night right before bedtime to figure out the next days plan because then we have the new nav...

Are you getting excited about St Martin. You are a lucky duck!

Did Bill have any issue getting the cruise time off work? Or did you ask his boss for it for him ahead of time?

We make my dgs eat dinner with us as this is our time to talk about our day and plans for the next day. We do let him eat with the club a couple of times at lunch. This way we make sure that he is eating something besides junk.

I feel the same way. And my kids always want to eat off the adult menu because they want fish or steak or chicken that isn't fried and I'm really lucky because they always want fruit or veggies instead of fries. We always make them share because I don't want to pay for them to have $25.00 dinners yet. I know I shouldn't complain because a lot of kids won't eat that stuff. On the cruise they can eat anything. Although I did hear from a friend that they have light menus that are smaller portions of the adult menu.

I thought we had "early" or "main" seating, but it looks like we are "late". I have no idea why, since we eat early at home! Oh, well, our whole schedule is messed up when we are on the cruise, it seems like we eat all day!
Too funny!

Don't tell me these these things. I need them to love the kids club or I won't have as much fun!

Does anyone know what the romance package is? I have a friend that is going on one of the one week cruises and she heard you can book early if you have the romance package. She can't seem to find it anywhere.

Paul had to fire someone today and he is now on his way home. :sad2:

Hard to do, but that's why he gets the big bucks (NOT!) It's sad this guy was in sales and just didn't pull his weight so we had to let him go, and he is now thinking that I'm to blame...I'm such a shrew ya know :lmao: I tend to be very black and white about my work, hard not to be with accounting...Oh well, I'm okay taking the fall for this if it means we can get this business back on track to profitiblity.

What's everyone doing this weekend?

We have a cookie booth on Sunday, other than that cleaning up my other client that I hand the boxes over on MONDAY!!! :dance3: I'm doing a totally happy dance. I love my work, but when a business is big enough for someone in house then I'm just totally overloaded. This client needed someone in house last Dec. So this is a HUGE relief.

Bill didn't know any of us were going on the cruise and thought we were going to the beach so he already had taken the time off.

Yes - 1 month from today I will be soaking up the sun in St Maartin!

At night when we get to the "lifeboat" Brent falls asleep fast so no time for talking too much. We have never even made a party after dinner. We go to the show and usually are back in the cabin by 9:00. We have said this time we are going to the pirates party if we have to carry him asleep!

I really think sucess for us this time is that Molly will have friends walking in the door. Remind me of your kids ages? Are they on the yahoo group yet? Have them look at the pictures on the other website and perhaps they will have a friend in their mind to see and play with.

The big issue last time for us was that Molly was a young 8 and all the girls in that age range acted like tweens allready :snooty: . She was still dressing up princess at that age princess: . I ended up moving her down to be with her brother for the other 2 visits and that was ok.

This will be different also, we travelled at Xmas and I felt like we HAD to stay together because it was the holidays...I have a much better idea in my mind about them clubbing it this time.:thumbsup2

How old is Wilson again? I'm letting my two older boys check-in and out together...if it works, we can add Wilson to that mix some days. Our rules (I think) will be as follows:

1) We need to know where they are at all times.
2) If they check-out, they need to go where we are or back to the cabin. No exceptions.
3) First time they aren't where they should be, check-in/out priveleges gone.

Any advice on the check/in & out thing? I believe in the buddy system and really don't think much can happen to them if they stick together. I like the idea of them getting some freedom....goodness knows kids don't have much freedom anymore. There was a thread on this a few days back....

It's not offered on our cruise.

I'm not sure that they offered it for this cruise, and the early booking went away for sure, I looked into it. We did it last time. I do like the robes, I might get it just for that cool robe, anyone wanna split it with me, Paul doesn't want the other robe :lmao:

Brooke will be five, almost six and Ethan will be a young eight. They aren't involved in the yahoo group but they are each emailing one person and have met at one of the meets and we will see one of them at the meet in April. Ethan is really out going but getting to the age that he thinks kids don't want to play with him. Brooke is extremely shy but loves to play by herself or with others. If they have any kind of crafts or coloring she will probably want to do that. Neither of them would get along with the "tweens" but I know what type you are talking about.

He is 8. I'm sure he will want to play with your boys. I'm going to stick with Wilson and Molly have to stay together when they check out, until the come to check with us then they can part off with friends. I trust them to tattle on each other so that is my master plan.

Similar plans

1) We need to know where they are at all times. They have to tell us when they check out and were they will go. I heard that we can have them page us and talk to us before they actually leave.

2) check out together and stay together until they see us or talk with us and have permission to split.

3) First time they aren't where they should be, check-in/out priveleges gone.

I think it will be harder on Molly than Wilson as she is going to want to just bail as soon as her friends do, but she better use the rules or she will lose chance to enjoy the freedom.

She is going on the one week Mexican Riviera so I wonder if they will have it on hers. Do they let you know a head of time? What is it besides the robes?

Holy Cow! I don't normally do this . . . but I've been doing nothing but thinking about this cruise all day! I went back to our pictures from the last cruise and found these two door signs my sister made for us. I just loved them. Let's see if I can get these to show up.
