I couldn't remember about the 1st onboard meet either, but it is a good plan!!! Monica, I can't remember how much we owe you for the bracelets either?[/QUOTE]

Bracelets are going to be a gift (but donations would be accepted :goodvibes ). Technically an FE gift, but will be distributed either at the April CA meet (if they're in already), the DTD 9May meet, the Fishlips meet, the Hyatt meet, and at the terminal.
This is a great way to meet people, and see who's who.

Good Morning Monica.....when you book on board, you have to pay the deposit at time of booking. I always try to book onboard and then move over to TA, but lately I've been booking with DU because I don't want to wait until I get back onboard to book.

Booking onboard for the one that's the furtherst out that you can get for the new ships is a smashing idea. Now why didn't I think of that. I'll have to keep it in mind and see if I can do the deposit onboard.....then I'll just keep moving it out a year until the new ships get here. Great idea, Monica. Thanks.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I'm not going to DL yet. I'm going from the port to LAX to pick up my car rental. After that I'll check into my hotel in Rodondo Beach on the oceanfront. I'll probably wait until Monday to go to DL.

I don't think we are going to DL this trip, although I would like to see the new Nemo ride. We are going to Canyon Lake to see our nephews, who both have new baby boys. We will rent a car when we disembark and then we fly out of Ontario airport. Our son Michael had enough free flights from Southwest for all of us!

Connie

Connie, did I tell you I went almost every day to the cruise desk at POR last end Nov to see if you were there but we just missed you!!!

MyTA said it was $163.50 per person, so that would be over $900 for six of you!!!

I have a question? Does anyone tip the people in the kids clubs? I don't see them anywhere on the tip calculator?

Deb - how long are you staying in CA after the cruise?

Hi V.....we're staying 5 nights and checking out Fri morning and going to Vegas for one overnight then taking the red eye out on Sat night.

We're going to do San Diego and Santa Barbara in Cali. We're also doing LA and DL and CA......that's 5 days.

How long are you staying V?

I have to say that I'm kind of partial to our Santa Barbara Bowl. Some of the best concerts I've seen have been there.
the santa barbara bowl is the greek theater without the crowds!!
i work security backstage during the bowl season!!!

::yes:: You know, I just saw a post a while back where someone said they really like the breakfast that was INCLUDED at the Hyatt? I sure don't remember seeing anything about that before. What about you guys??? Well, you know of 'some' people just get things very wrong sometimes, but I'd though I'd ask.

....coffee break over...

.

We are staying at the Hyatt MCO and have breakfast included. This is our fourth stay there and each time breakfast has been included. It's a buffet, but tasty!

When we first moved into ourhome, we had a neighbor in FL who asked us to feed her cat - sure we said, wanting to be neighborly, she brought over bowls, blankets, food, toys.....

She wanted us to feed her cat because they were moving!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cat, however, was not:lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

When I found out I was moving my friend offered to find my cat a new home while I was still out of town. He could not do the shelter thing so he went to the pet food aisle of the grocery and would strike up conversations with everyone buying cat food. He would get them talking and whenever he found someone with only one cat he tried to convince them that their cat needed a friend. He didn't get any takers and the cat ended up at an assisted care facility as the group pet. I would have never thought to look for a new home for my cat at the pet food aisle of the grocery store. :rotfl2:

our passports are already being processed. YEsterday when I looked them up (or maybe the day before) they hadn't been received yet....wonder how long they will actually take?

had lunch with some co-workers...been very good about not eating out. One of us brings in sandwich fixings, one the bread, one the chips and we can eat for a week it seems! BEats $10 a day out!

My real estate agent bought his house with the cat in the contract. Yup, the sellers insisted the cat stay with the house. It was a good thing all around. He loved her, Blacky, and she loved that house.

Yep, our Drivers Ed was taught by coaches. Jr. High coach also taught (and I use the word lightly) Civics. His method...we went around the room reading the book aloud to each other, then we had a test at the end of each chapter. :sad2:

We had the same teacher I think, nope now that I'm remembering our coach taught history, right from the books too...boring.....:sad2:

Hearing about Molly's knee issues (and the others too) makes me cringe :scared1:

I had a skiing accident in January of 1988....had my 1st surgery November 1988....2nd surgery in 1998....and still facing a 3rd one (have been putting that off as long as possible). First 2 were orthoscopic and outpatient.

I don't know the technical term (s) for what I did....best way to describe it is that my kneecap doesn't stay in it's place....it's pulled to the side. My knee will every once in a while decide it doesn't want to work....so I can be in the middle of a step and then on the ground. (I plan to use this as an excuse on board after a night of drinking too much :lmao: :rotfl: ).

The 3rd surgery (as explained to me in the 1999) is supposed to involve 2 nights in the hospital, moving bone (yeah), 6 weeks (min) on crutches, then another 6 weeks (min) recovery time....can you see why I don't want to do it??? :confused3

I was thinking Nan (ok, don't laugh at that comment) - how about if you wrap her knee with an ace bandage? Maybe that would help.

not a bad tought, I'm on hold with the doctors office now.

And some folk are doing fishmail deliveries too!!!:rotfl: Going to be ready for a crash out day on CC the next day!!:beach:

Fish extenders may not be out yet :scared1:

What time is that first mail drop planned for????
