V, they start working on special requests about 30 days out.

Actually for my October cruise, when I was the main linked person, I put the request in about 60 days out for the group, and when Margot called me for Palo, she let me know that I had been granted my dinning rotation request. I don't think that normally happens, but it was nice knowing ahead of time.

Thanks PJ, it sounded like a good deal but I couldn't figure out how it worked. May take advantage of it this trip. How often can you change the reservation?
Carol

You do have to pay the deposit while on board in order to lock in the ressie, obc, and discount.

The one thing you have to remember when you keep pushing back your reservations, is that the 'deal' will change based on what the current 'deal' is. For example, now we are getting 10% discount and $200 credit (for 7 days or longer). If they were to change the deal to something else, when you made you next 'move', you'd have to go with the new deal. Now, I think it's probably been a long time since they've changed the deal, but just a heads up.

....back to catch up....

V, nope. This cruise, once I leave my house, my only worry will be having a great time with all my DIS friends and family. Oh and buying breakfast and snacks for the villa. I think John1 is our leader this cruise. You get the next one, lol.

I am one of the leads on the Palo ressies, but will most likely hand my date over to another DIS group once we have it secured.

So are you wearing the Kilt for formal night? On one of our cruises we saw a gent dressed up in the full gear - looked great!

My kilt has long since disappeared with the many moves of my life and the many sizes I have been. I am disappointed as it was not intentional. Right now, all I have are a scarf and a sash - They come out for the Highland Games - well South Florida's version of same which are very low key - but still lots of fun.

Erm, yes or no.

I wait until near the time and see how the packing go. As the belt, shoes etc are very heavy. My son and husband have own kilt suit so still thinking about it.

My friend is not bringing his kilt as he think daft for wear it once on the Cruise:confused3

I thought kilt would be lovely for formal as Keith & husband wore it on the Med Cruise.

Still thinking about it:confused:

Pj, did you get much snow last night? We really got dumped on, and because there was freezing drizzle in the middle of the storm, it sure is heavy. I spent an hour shoveling this morning and just came in from another hour of shoveling. The sun has been out all afternoon, lovely day except for all the snow:rolleyes: It has made my driveway slippery though, I went right down after slipping on some ice, boy did I pop back up quick! No way I was even going to consider I might have broken something, I need this cruise! Anyway, all is well, but I can already feel how stiff I'm going to be tomorrow:sad2: I'm ready for spring...more snow expected tomorrow and Friday though.

Kathe

Kathe,

It just stopped about two hours ago. This is the third Tuesday in a row and we had a storm on Friday and another coming on Saturday, I want my spring to come.

I am home sick, achy and head is killing me. I really wish when a co-worker is sick that they would stay home, I am the third person this week to be out with what ever it is.

Oh do be careful Kathe. It would be awful if you did hurt yourself.

Keep snug and warm inside PJ amd don't chance that weather at all. Lots of fluids and pain killers.

Oh, so sorry you're not feeling well Pj  It is annoying when people come to work sick and spread it around. We're made to feel guilty at work if we stay home though  which is really maddening, people do get sick, and I don't get the reasoning behind guilting them into coming in, it just makes more people get sick so strains the business more than if the one sick person just stayed home in the first place!

I have been reading about this V. someone posted a link over on a UK board.

Very sad.:sad2:
I love DIrty Dancing and we just watched it the other day....they say he's dropped 20 lbs and is on a liquid only diet as he can't keep anything down. :sad1:

Kathe and PJ and anyone else who is sick - stay warm and GET BETTER!!

I am about out of here. Going to head to the gym and run. My dad is doing an Ironman in April and his weekend this weekend is a 112 mile bike ride and some other ungodly amount of running ans swimming.
I do have to admit that after I did the couple 5k's and the sprint triathalons, I was insanely high, it really does make you feel good. Just wish I could get motivated.

Oh no! I've met Patrick at the Arabian Horse show in Scottsdale two different times. Peggy has a beautiful framed poster of him and his stallion hanging in her office. He was very nice and loved talking about the horses. Peg will be very sad when I tell her.

I'm at home for the moment....had to run home for a small emergency...all is well and will head back to work in a few minutes.

.

Whoa! We sailed right past post 3,000 without even noticing...

you got it Nan! pirate:

....back to the office I go.....
