Linda - I am south but on the other coast. When are you here? We'll be in Orlando next weekend Sat and Sun.
Thanks Angie! I'm not sure what my deal is. I can usually pull myself together and get through things, but this is the first time I'm not succeeding.Holly, when I look back at our lives, out of the darkest times (and we all have them) good things have come that would never have happened had we not experienced those difficulties.
Talk with you pastor and hang in there. All things pass........and then some new trouble replaces it.

I don't know. I didn't know it was a re-make, so I guess it's the new one. It was in the new release section at the video store, so probably was the re-make. It was yucky.
But I just finished "Georgia Rule" and LOVED it! Made me cry. I usually hate movies that make me cry, but needed it today. Been so down the last couple months, I just can't get out of this funk. I think the real reason for my tiredness all the time and not wanting to go out with friends, memory loss, etc. is due to how down I've been, but have been in denial. Just overwhelmed with lots of things in life right now and not coping very well. I don't think my limited county health plan has any type of coverage for seeking counseling or anything, so I'll try to just set up appointments with the pastor at church.
My mom might come to town tomorrow but I don't want her to see the state of my house. Her criticism will add to my frustration I'm sure. Trying to force myself to clean, but just want to be on the couch and cry instead. What the heck is wrong with me?!
OK.....that was TMI! Sorry. Please don't think I'm nutso....just going through a rough patch.

Actually I think most of us are here to make friends so sitting with strangers is not so creepy to us. I do think if you get sat with people you do not like you can ask to be moved. Who knows you may meet some great friends and be thankful you got sat with them for dinner. This week I met two ladies that I had only met through this thread. Total strangers otherwise and I tell you they were two of the sweetest nicest people I have met in ages! I am sitting with them at dinner and know I am going to have a blast! I can already see us being great friends.![]()
Maybe you guys can attend a Dis meet beforehand and meet some people possibly making a connection and find another couple or two you would like to eat with? If you are creeped out eating with just one other couple maybe you should really ask to be sat at a LARGE group table. That way there will be no one on one pressure to talk as much. I think if you give it a shot you will find it is not creepy like you think. I was kinda shy on the boards but this cruise I figured screw it! I jumped right in and haven't looked back.![]()
The smallest tables DCL has are for a party of 4. How creepy would that be!
For us it's a matter of being comfortable with people. We've met a lot of people that we didn't know before. We know Monica because we met her on our first cruise when I interviewed her for a podcast, and we've been fast friends ever since. I also produce Mouse Manager, which has had over 2000 downloads, and I correspond with people many times a day, and have made many friends, some of whom are on this thread, and I have joined in with other people on this thread (fish extender team, etc.) I don't know, maybe it's just me, but for some reason, sitting down and breaking bread with people has a certain intimacy. We are also not a typical couple, and so there is concern as well that our table-mates are comfortable with us. Otherwise, mealtime could have the potential of being rather strained. Sort of like a bad weekend in an English country house. Just ask Monica, she can vouch for how bizarre we are!
Thanks Marilyn, I could so use it. You just made me cry!Holly. It isn't surprising you are feeling as you are doing. Perhaps you just needed to get to a point like today where you have to 'let it all out' and get some help.
Oh I so want to hug you in person.
Very nice scrap room indeed! Oh and you are watching Hannah!![]()
I finally get it!! V, you were talking about Tigger1221's scrapbook picture! I thought you were watching TV at your house, and said to us (not in your house) is that Hannah on TV?I was cracking up because how would we know what you were watching! And then when Tigger1221 said yes it was, I thought Tigger1221 was watching the same show as you at the same time.....
I was like...wow, these DISers watch Disney ALL the time!!!

Yes, I do really need this cruise and will probably cry the second we step through those Mickey ears. Excursions: Stingrays at CC, Submarine Expedition in Aruba, Outdoor Adventure in PV, Coastal Highlights Tour in Cabo. I'm not sure how many we'll actually be able to afford, so I'll likely be cancelling some. But will surely try to keep them all. Only time will tell.Holly - hope things get better. I seem to have started off 2008 with a deep funk as well. I think I am just a worrier, so that adds on top of everything else.
Just think, we have an awesome cruise to look forward to! Did you get your excursions booked? What are you doing?
