Hi Everyone,

Looking for some advice for posting a box of stuff to the ship beforehand...Is this a common thing to do? How soon before did you send your items? Anything special, or just regular post? I will be posting my things from Australia via our postal service, but it is just the regular post, not a courier or anything...

Did anyone have any troubles/things I should look out for?

I know the address is in the first post - thanks to all the organisers on this thread who take care of us!

I don't know how far ahead from Australia. I mailed from Portland about 2 weeks out. I used regular post and the box showed up in our room just fine.

We are visiting Seattle as the first part of our trip before the cruise! Sydney to LAX then Seattle - anything you can recommend that we should do in Seattle - we have already booked our Boeing tours... Thanks!!

We enjoyed visiting Pike Place Market, and the very first Starbucks across the street.

Had an excellent dinner at Brasserie Margaux. It was our favorite meal the entire trip. Absolutely delicious! MargauxSeattle

I just bought 100 pins! I think what we will do is put the pins in a treasure chest, and at Easter tell the kids this is a special Easter and Mommy & Daddy will be giving them a gift...and then give them the treasure chest with a map of Castaway Cay and all the pins. I'm afraid to have it be from the Easter bunny it might bring up too many questions and cause our oldest not to believe...and I saw like them believing!

Okay, my teens have decided the NO ONE can beat our family ... so ... I guess I am off the DIS team and TEAM HALL FAMILY (which is uber-competitive times 5) is ready to take on all challengers!!

Side note ... I was raised the only girl in a family full of guys ... and I have been know to *ahem* cheat/lie/steal (okay, maybe not that, but I like to win!!)

Rules from the last time:

• Each cabin is a team. You may join forces with ONE other cabin so long as there are no more than 6 people on your total team. In some cases, families with two cabins have already been combined into one team.
• Return your answer sheet by 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26th to the location indicated in the final quest. Late returns are not graded. Results and answers will be posted sometime after 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 27th.
• Prohibited behaviors: running, line-cutting, pushing, shoving, or other rudeness. Play it safe: this is essentially a subjective call. Do not interfere with other guests or crew members.
• Quest answers must be written on the answer sheet. Write other task answers where indicated. The answer sheet is the ONLY sheet that will be graded – if it's not on there, it doesn't count.
• Participants consent to the use of their likeness in photos for posts and/or articles about the event.
• One quest will require you to interact with a specific crew member. This person will be on duty between 8am and midnight on the 26th. You must locate this person during the normal course of their duties. YOU MAY NOT HAVE THIS PERSON PAGED, or ask for any assistance in finding this person.

This packet contains the following materials:

• Eight “Quests,” marked as "A" through "G"
• “Answer Sheet”– all quest answers must be on this sheet.

The object of the game is to score as many points as possible. You may complete the quests in any order, and some quests can only be completed during certain times. When you are done with your last quest—or when it nears the 10:00 p.m. event deadline—you must turn in your answer sheet. Late returns are not graded. Absolutely no exceptions. Make sure to write your stateroom number(s) on the top of the answer sheet!!!

The ship one will be done on the 20th. (I confirmed that with Adrienne last night). There is no cost to play. (Although we are not responsible for the number of rum punches you may consume while playing....)

So it looks like we can only join forces with one other cabin.

No real trivia in the High Seas edition. The Read Everything is important. It is amazing how many people miss something because they assumed they knew what we were looking for, rather than actually reading to learn what we wanted.

You don't need to do anything prior to May 20 - no need to PM or anything. You can form your teams now or on board. Each stateroom listed in the navigator will get a game packet automatically.

I don't think the plan to not link until after 90/75 days would work if you wanted to do Palo together.

Right, but if you both are at least able to BOOK Palo at near times you can go see PJ at the Palo booking spot when you board and get them at a table together. We did this in Dec. Had 4 people at 8 and 2 at 8:30 same night and PJ put them together for us. This is NOT our PJ, he is the dining manager at Palo. Very helpful.

Hi, I hope that you don't mind if I jump in with a Palo question since you are talking about Palo ressies. I was about 12 hours too late from when we could first book at 90 days out. Since then it has said no reservations available. Are they all booked? Or do they only release a small amount? Or is there something wrong with my account? Were most people able to get their reservations?
