Yes, that is my "rule" also. We unwrap everything then place in zippie bags and have the zippie bags in a desk drawer in the room. The kids (of all ages) can "grab a bag" and go. The zippies don't tend to make noise like the "crackly" paper wrappers.

--- Oh and we also have a "NO CRUNCHING" rule!! :rotfl:

I'm betting there will be sweet treats showing up in fish extenders....:thumbsup2

Last magic cruise at med, we had Alfred or Alfie he was so brilliant with our children

If you want to request a server, it works best to do it as early as possible (before 45 days for sure). Not every server is onboard since they serve alternating contracts, but it pays to ask if you want a certain one. I have heard it is more difficult (nearly impossible) to change servers onboard.

Oh, and if you are requesting a change in dining time (early to late, etc.) request the time AND the server early ... otherwise if you change onboard you will most likely lose your server for the new time.

HEY....isn't today (the 18th) the day they draw for the four winners for the DCL House Party guest sweepstakes?

I wonder if there will be a message on my machine when I get home tonight? :cool1:

....fingers crossed.....

Oh, I hope so!! Here's some extra pixie dust flying your way...

Been to the cinema numerous times and had folk with boxes of popcorn behind us. Rattle, crack rattle chomp, rattle.(This country I must add.)

Oh, once I bought expensive chocolate covered chocolate balls. I dropped them on the cinema floor and they all rolled to the front.:sad1:

I have spent much of the past couple of days booking travel ... for other people. ;)

I have booked, canceled and am now rebooking (changed month) for a large family ... 5 cabins.

I am also researching a wedding in port, ceremony at sea for a couple who are bringing along 4 families with them.

Along the way ... I found a great hotel in Baja .... the Grand Baja. I now have a nice relationship with both the agent liason and the wedding/large group coordinator.

So if we want to have a reunion in Baja sometime ... I know of the perfect place ... and I can get 15-20% discounts, free spa, etc. for all of us!!

She's beautiful!

Thanks Gydell:goodvibes I miss her so much!

Trying to keep up, but I keep running between TV and here (maybe I should have them in the same room:rolleyes: )Watching Oprah, Carol Burnett is on, I love Carol! I can hardly wait to see Horton Hears a Who ! Back to the show...

I left when we on page 64 of part 4 so I'm really behind! I've been skimming but don't think I'll be catching up anytime soon. I hope everybody is ok.

Can you rent a tux with tails in Chicago and take it along?

Jan :earsgirl:

For what I was paying on the cruise ship to rent a tux every time, I just went on to Ebay last year and bought Robert one for $99.00. Brand new, and it is great. I take it on the cruise, send it out for dry cleaning the day we get there and then ta-da it comes back all ready for formal night. That way I don't even worry about it getting wrinkled in the suitcase!

Great to have you back. I've missed you.

I can deal with the sound of popcorn or other snacks.

The worst experience in a movie theatre was a lady who answered her cell phone during the movie, and she chatted away as if she were alone in her living room. Arrgghhh!

I've given up on ever catching up
Did you have a good birthday? What did you do? Where did you go?

Linda,

I was just going to post the exact info ... not kidding the EXACT info ... we finally bought Dave a tux from eBay (only $105 new, great tux) about three cruises ago, and now we just hand it to the cabin attendant the first day and it comes back ready to wear on formal night. Great minds or what!! :thumbsup2

Deb- I hope your legs start to get better soon.:grouphug:

Noel- Sorry to hear you won't be with us. Hope the family is healing and stays healthy.

Off to take a nap, been up since 3am.

I know the word from DCL is that the excursions you see are all they have ... but ... in the past they have added more times and even more excursions if they book up. So don't lose hope!! I would drop a note AS SOON AS you board at the Shore Excursions requesting some your would like to be added to if/when a spot opens. You might get lucky!!

I was told yesterday that there would be more availability released at the 75 day mark, including Palo's.

:woohoo:
I actually "stole" the idea from Tony (Tony/Adrienne who will be on this cruise). He told me back in 2005 that he laundered all his shirts and then sent them out for pressing once he got on board because they got all wrinkled between California and Florida. So since then, I have NOT spent money right before we leave at the dry cleaners, I just do it on the ship and it is very reasonably priced. I even have sent some of my formal clothes out the first night for pressing only. It is well worth it to me and the next night I look in the stateroom and there they are hanging and perfectly pressed and ready to wear!

We have "somewhat" finalized our plans for WDW pre-cruise.

We are arriving Thursday on a redeye at 6am (3am to us) :scared1:

We will pick up our minivan, take advantage of early check-in, eat the free (very nice) breakfast and then ... go to sleep for a few hours.

We are then heading to DTD and Disney Quest. The kids really want to "make and ride their own rollercoasters". I never knew this was available, so it should be lots of fun. We will spend most of the day at DTD, then off to Walmart and a liquor store for last minute things like aerosol Solarcaine (we always burn), Malibu Rum and other "essential items". Maybe find a mini-golf after dinner.

Friday we are heading to Animal Kingdom (okay we may still swap for Typhoon Lagoon), and will head to the Radisson at the Port for the evening.

Who else is staying at the Radisson???
