Can you DIS on a lap top in a recliner chair with your legs elevated or do you have to be lying down? If lying down, can you have the lap top there?

Jan :earsgirl:

Unfortunately, I can't do both at the same time. I sit up on the couch with my laptop and DIS and I have to sit in the love seat with a foot stool to elevate.....two different places and I don't often switch over to the love seat so I don't elevate as often as I should.

Been to the cinema numerous times and had folk with boxes of popcorn behind us. Rattle, crack rattle chomp, rattle.(This country I must add.)

Oh, once I bought expensive chocolate covered chocolate balls. I dropped them on the cinema floor and they all rolled to the front.:sad1:

:lmao: did you crawl for it? :lmao:

I left when we on page 64 of part 4 so I'm really behind! I've been skimming but don't think I'll be catching up anytime soon. I hope everybody is ok.

hi gydell

Good to hear from you and I am fine and hope you had a nice weekend.

I can deal with the sound of popcorn or other snacks.

The worst experience in a movie theatre was a lady who answered her cell phone during the movie, and she chatted away as if she were alone in her living room. Arrgghhh!

Terrible:sad2:

We have "somewhat" finalized our plans for WDW pre-cruise.

We are arriving Thursday on a redeye at 6am (3am to us) :scared1:

We will pick up our minivan, take advantage of early check-in, eat the free (very nice) breakfast and then ... go to sleep for a few hours.

We are then heading to DTD and Disney Quest. The kids really want to "make and ride their own rollercoasters". I never knew this was available, so it should be lots of fun. We will spend most of the day at DTD, then off to Walmart and a liquor store for last minute things like aerosol Solarcaine (we always burn), Malibu Rum and other "essential items". Maybe find a mini-golf after dinner.

Friday we are heading to Animal Kingdom (okay we may still swap for Typhoon Lagoon), and will head to the Radisson at the Port for the evening.

Who else is staying at the Radisson???

:tinker: Karen

We 4 of us plus our two friends will be leaving on Thursday, flight from Glasgow at 9.30 am

arrive at stanford airport about 3.30 pm

we will be staying at Raddison for 2 nights.

How many of you?

Jan...I was thinking about going the mumu route, and just cutting and hemming it to the lenght I wanted (you know, cover that belly) to make it a blouse.

That would work :goodvibes

Did you see the dress Marilyn found? It was like a mumu only long with floral embroidery.

Dear friends:

This morning I picked up all of our accumulated mail at our neighbors who had been collecting it for us and saw the letter from Carol (pahrumpgil). This is just a brief note to thank everyone for their concern.

Finding this thread was confusing until I read about the new rules. I thought my DH has posted our status in the old thread but I guess not.

To everyone who has been worried about me, I am doing well. My DD Samantha developed a blood clot in her leg and lungs due to her use of birth control pills. She had been limping thinking she had pulled a muscle, had a deep tissue massage which made things worse.

A few hours before we were to fly home she was in so much pain that we went to the local ER. The life threating clots luckily were discovered before we flew home. She spent some time in the hospital in Orlando before we were able to take her home. She is on the mend but will be on Coumadin for at least 6 months to dissolve the clots. Her visits to the doctor now only consist of a weekly meeting at the Coumadin clinic to measure her INR levels.

Right after that my SIL became ill, so I needed to go help DD with him. She also need surgery on her nose for old scar tissue so I have not been home much. DH has been traveling for work since we returned home so he has not been able to be much help with family issues.

I had asked DH to post what was going on with our family but clearly though he said he did , he must have posted in another board. Since he is in Asia, I will have to check where he posted via email. Since I thought everyone knew, I have not been checking on the board here as we canceled this cruise for family reasons. With all my travels and issues, I been checking not been checking my email so if anyone has emailed me, please give me a few days to get caught up.

To add insult to injury, my main computer crashed and I will have to wait until DH gets home to get any info from the computer. The lists I was keeping were on that computer so if you guys need any info from me, please let me know. Right now I am using my notebook computer which is my travel computer and has very little information on the drive.

Sorry to miss all of you on this special cruise.

Warm Regards,

Noel

I just wanted to bump this post forward so those who miss it will know whats going on with Noel:flower3:

Thanks for the update. Sad to hear she has been dealing with so much, but nice to hear from her.

Good morning all:

Lisa, I'm going today, drive up and you can come with me!

Thanks for the offer :lmao:

We've avoided the costco card since we have absolutely no storage space in our apartment so where to put things bought in bulk would be ahuge issue.

How's your leg doing?

You're right Marilyn. One good thing to work on at a time. At least I have the new dresses to look forward to wearing on another cruise and it's incentive to stick with it and not give up.

The legs are not good. Very swollen, the edema is out of contol. That's additional weight gain because they're filled with fluid. I'm waiting for the boot to come.....that will get the edema under control. The wound won't go away until the edema is under control. But I have enough time to work on them before trip and get them good to go.

Drum roll please .... 2.5 more pounds gone (okay yes I wanted it to be more!!)

I am very impatient (and very hungry for reeses miniatures and red vine licorice for some reason)

But, my clothes are no longer shrinking on me. Must be the new laundry detergent :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

It is so easy to get hooked! I don't use glue sticks, I hate them, unless they are for some little thing. I use double sided scrapbook adhesive. There are alot of companies that make it, but I like Scrapbook Adhesives. It is in a red container and is 29 feet total in length. Runs around $5-$6 depending on where you shop.

I use the same one for classes and scrapping on the go. At home I love my ATG!

Good job. I've ACTUALLY started dieting instead of just SAYING I am. I'm tired of feeling all stiff and achy all the time.

Now I'm off to cruise critic to read up on some of the excursion I already booked. :woohoo:

.

Legs are wrapped. I admit that I don't elevate them enough. Next appointment at the wound center is in one week. I only go once every two weeks on Mondays. No hydratherapy or any other treatments. Just keep them wrapped in the burn cream which worked on the wounds last time and get the boot for the edema. It's all good and it will work once it gets going.

Really sorry to hear you have to go thru so much

Cannot even imagine how you have been able to stay away from smoking ... really GOOD FOR YOU :cheer2:

Sure hope you aren't feeling AT ALL bad about not losing weight right now. Geesh, you are handling everything so well. The weight loss will come. :upsidedow

I am really looking forward to seeing you (with healthy legs and all) onboard. You are one strong lady!! :lovestruc

We're not bothering with dressing special for Mexican night. We are dressing for Tropical and Pirate nights only. I didn't want to buy something I know we would only wear once.
Edited to Add: I forgot to mention we have matching Disney torpical outfits too! DH has agreed to wear matching clothes for one night only. LOL

I found the secret is to ease them into it. We started with matching T-shirts (and my sister and niece have them too). On each WDW trip I've added another set of matching t-shirts - we can actually match for 1 week. Now we have some matching cruise wear - button down shirts for him, dresses for me and he doesn't complain - well not too much anyway.

And of course it makes scrapbooking that much easier when everyone is wearing the same color :thumbsup2

My old undies are comfy though!!!

Grundy undies? I like it!!!

Well, I actually wouldn't wear really bad ones on holiday - just in case, you know!!!!:lmao:

And now that all the guys on the cruise know we don't wear the ABSOLUTELY best undies for them... :lmao: I wear them until the elastic dies... or holes appear in strange places..

Welcome Edna Mode! Can't wait to meet your alter ego.....tell us about yourself...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Her alter ego has an alter ego!!!

Kelly I updated all your links on the website, in roll call you have both names.

Pj

PJ... what info do I have to give you for the Roll call????

It's taken a long time but Darrell has started to realize the beauty of cereal for meals other than breakfast! I could live on cereal.

What is a batter blaster? I'm picturing Buzz Lightyear...

Oh I've been doing cereal for my whole life!!! When we were little, we'd of course want the cookies out in the kitchen and we'd of course ask mom and she'd say...if you're hungry... have some cereal... (that's when cereal was cheaper than cookies...:rolleyes1 ) and to this day... we all eat cereal at strange times of the day... & depending on the day... strange cereals... :woohoo:

He flies for Skywest Airlines which is the connection carrier for Delta and United Airlines. Its 1130am and no word yet. Mama's stomach getting nervous... The sim should be done soon then 2 hour debrief.... OK i guess I will take him to Costco either way, His favorite place for a hotdog..

My FIL loves Sam's CLub for hotdogs (they don't have Costco where they are). I thought he was the only one.
