Hmmmm.....speaking of jewelry, I wonder if I should bring my display jewelry on the cruise, people could borrow if needed (with some sort of sign out sheet), and I could do a jewelry show on a sea day. Could be fun trying on jewelry at sea! :thumbsup2

Or you could bring stuff to SELL.

:rotfl: Look who's talking, I can be no help with this business though. We moved from a big house to a condo less than half the size and are still getting rid of stuff. No gifts or souviners for us. We are living lean and liking it.

We downsized 7 years ago and didn't get rid of enough. Now we have amassed even more!!! Hardly room for us now. That's why we need vacations to get some space!!! :lmao:

Can't keep my eyes open any longer.

Lisa: I hope Frank's heart doc visit goes well Friday.

V: Are you ever going to share with us the good news you were hoping for? Or did I miss it in my sleep fog?

   to anybody who needs some.

Bobby is still looking for his next destination. He's ready for more travelling! He wants to show off his awesome passport Jan was so kind to make for him. :thumbsup2 Unless we should just chalk this particular version of Bobby up as a punctured loss and just forward on his suitcase w/goodies & passport onto whoever has the other Bobby version.

GOODNIGHT ALL!

A couple threads ago I thought you said you knew who he was going to next. Or did I misunderstand?

Anyway--any takers?? He is a great house guest. Eats very little, happy to sleep anywhere, loves to pose for photos, good with children, only requirement is RFRB* :rotfl2:

Anyone getting any vaccinations/shots for this cruise. I've been reading a thread over on the amin cruise board and wondered.

I did read some time ago not to bother, but now I'm thinking perhaps to update my Hep and Tetanus. I went to Kenya in 1997 and had vaccinations, but can't remember what!:)

Well, Sophia does not have school tomorrow because of teacher in-service. So she had a grand total of one day of school this week. Turns out it was the only important day, the day of the Valentine's party.

Probably a good thing that I took the week off. Sophia got a lot of daddy time this week!

And Daddy got a lot of Sophia time. Win-win!:thumbsup2

Jan :earsgirl:

Don't we all!!! We went to Coldwater today and tried things on.. and then I got the loving speech from mother dear... "you know....you really need to lose some weight..." At least she didn't pat my tummy when she said that...:upsidedow

I always hated that. Tell me something I don't know.

And/or try living with my EFFICIENT metabolism where everything is digested quickly and saved for future famines. (read "I get hungry fast and carry it with me for a long time.")

Jan :earsgirl:

I think it was posted in the first thread. Nan altered a heart shaped valentine candy box and put pictures inside cupcake wrappers to look like candies inside. Not the best description.

Nan - can you re-post the pictures?

OOOOOO!!! :cool1: CUTE!

Jan :earsgirl:

Oh man!! You have had a tough week! :grouphug: You do not need to loose weight unless you are at a weight that is unhealthy, or keeps you from doing things you want to do. My pet peeve, you are not loveable unless you fit a certain mold. NOT!! We have a DD that gets comments that she is too thin! No, she isn't, she is built that way, straight as a stick no...um, no need for a bra I guess is the DIS way to say it, but she eats alot, has no eating disorder. We are built the way we are and we are all beautiful!! Sorry, off my soapbox now.

:thumbsup2 Thank you MrsMork. Well said, well said.
(Where is an applauding smilie?)

(and the term as I learned it from the mother of my best buddy from high school when she applied it to my buddy is "inverted double A")

PRECIOUS!

That's just what I was thinking . . .

Here's our nut of a dog, Lexi, and she loves the snow. She will lay out in it on the deck, and roll around in it too!

Sophia doesn't have school on Monday either, but Daddy has to go back to work.:sad2:

Awww dog, Lexi is so beautiful, wish I give her cuddle!!

Remind me that my work might have sale today after Valentine as my work have huge Valentine heart box!! I think it is a beautiful thing and good to remember it.
:thumbsup2

I love craft and yesterday I made the door sign with Olivia for this cruise.

DrHug should be on his way home now. Looks like I will be able to stay up and give him a big ol' Valentine smooch! I'm gonna tell him John was making fun of his shoes too! :lmao:
Reminds me of a story! He used to wear Hush Puppies, the ones that were slip on. The flap on the top would flip up sometimes and our girls (young teen and pre teen at the time) called them his nerd shoes! :lmao: We were in Idaho with friends who had a nice boat. Our friend pulled the boat up on a beach on the lake. The bow was quite high off the beach and DrHug was standing up there. He noticed his shoe flipped up and for some unknown reason he yelled "Nerd Shoe!":confused3 getting the attention of everyone on the shore (including manly young men and lovely young ladies) and then slipped and launched himself over the railing, scraping the hair off his shin on the way (left a little furrow of hair on the rail), and landed right on his chest on the ground! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: Lucky he did not kill himself!! :rotfl: He was limping for awhile! We of course have had many laughs at his expense! :rotfl: :rotfl2: This was 25 years or so ago and the kids will still every once in a while say Nerd Shoe!! and laugh!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Jan...I'd love for you to go. I emailed my best friend from growing up and hopefully he will go with me. He lives in VA where they live....
As long as you have a plan.... You will be fine.

Sometimes you want to throw KIN off the island...
And you think we won't understand that>?>?

I always said...I'd love to take a Disney Cruise with my family...only they are going on the Wonder and I'm going on the Magic...
;) :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Angie... If I stopped laughing, I swear I'd sit down in the middle of the floor and cry.
You got it sister, we are all there more often than most people know. But when we let on, we find others will sit down and either laugh with us or cry with us or both at the same time. That is what women friends are for. (And some guys do it well also, so we let them in.)

Jan :earsgirl:

About my friend, I am sitting and thinking what I am doing. I think I go and buy a card 'Thinking of You' and send it to my friend who lost the baby yesterday.:sad1: As her frist baby, why her? she is lovely and happy woman. Life is so cruel!

Scottishwee35

Sophia was excited about getting to stay up tonight with no school tomorrow. I swear the girl wants to stay up until dawn. Now she is saying she is hungry. I need to get that girl to bed soon.

Ah, Daddy's Girl same with my husband!!

Forgot ask you, how old is Sophia?

Scottishwee35:thumbsup2

I do SO GET this. We are still weeding through stuff and it's been three years. Whenever we buy something new we try to get rid of something else. When we went on our last cruise we brought home a Cruise ship wine bottle cork. That was it. We tried to send all the CC gifts to a young friend, but like an idiot, I did not put insurance on the package and it was lost in the mail....

It never ends.

Jan :earsgirl:

I think I am the only one here. Fun to post with California and British Isles at the same time.

Maybe I can sleep a bit before DH has to get up for work. or not.

Jan :earsgirl:
