Karen-you're so sweet! You will be so missed on this cruise!! But the somewhat upside is, you got to avoid the nightmare of last night. It was a true joke. I was online from 9pm to 2:30am and we didn't get one of the excursions we wanted!!! Some east coasters were up all night. Some people, like Angie, couldn't get on at all!

Well, I'm off to bed, just wanted to pop in and say thank you for being so sweet with the champagne tasting.

Karen has cancelled??? Oh, I'm so sad to read this. I know I'm behind.....Karen, if you read this, I am so going to miss meeting you

We're well past the throwing up stage, fever has been gone since yesterday morning, but now the cough & sore throat is much worse. It's so horrible sounding. But he's eating a bit now. Since it had been almost 24 hours since he threw up, I agreed when he asked for a poptart. He only ate about 3/4 of it, but that's fine. Then at lunch he had a little mac & cheese. The kid is drinking milk like crazy though.

We even ventured out because I wanted to get Vicks, Mucinex, jello to try the jello drink, and a couple other things. Quick trip to Walgreens down the road. Trying to get him to take a nap with no luck. I'm assuming he'll just crash at some point. Not sure how long he should stay out of school though.

You are contagious with the flu, 1 day before getting symptoms and up to 5 days after getting sick. Most schools will tell you they have to be fever free for 24 hours. Since he has been on a antibiotic for a few days, any concerns for contagions such as strep would be resolved by now.

Monica, I plan on sending another e-mail to RedSail. The e-mail I got back said the Wed excursion will do a pick up at the dock at 8:10AM (ship is supposed to dock at 7:30), I just want to make sure that timing will work. And I also want to find out what time the actual excursion is, in case we have to try and get there some other way. I will also verify that they don't do the afternoon ones on Wed (which is what the e-mail said). Do we have any details on the DePalm tours set up? They never responded to my e-mail. I'm thinking I'll register for cruisecritic and ask for specific recommendations over there. Whadda think?

This sucks. This kid NEEDS to go to school tomorrow or I'm going to tie him up in the closet. After a MAJOR ordeal, I managed to get some cough suppressant down his throat. I've wasted so much money on so many different kinds trying to get one that doesn't take nasty. Why can't kids just swallow it and it's done? Tiny sip, swish it around in mouth to verify that it tastes like crap, then scream about how bad it tastes and push it away from mouth for 5 minutes before giving in to another tiny sip, repeat 10 times.

I've heard, "I HATE YOU" more times today and last night than I ever have from him. He's bored, but obviously feels like crud still because of the every few seconds cough. "I'M BORED, why can't we go somewhere?" Well, because I don't want to infect the whole city! "Why can't I go play in the snow?" Um....because you're SICK!

Any ideas? Everything I offer as a suggestion gets, "I hate that!" Coloring, puzzles, games, etc. I can't think of anything else. I know! He can help me clean! Yeah, right....he'll love that.

Did Tyler make his cruise countdown chain yet? Is that something he would be interested in? Would he make one for his Florida girlfriend if he already has his? Since he has been so excited abut the cruise is there something related to it that he can do to take his mind off being sick?

So Tyler's dad had to miss work today because he's really sick now too. I'm sure stepmom will be next, but I'm surprised I'm not feeling anything yet. Well, my dad always tells me "Mom's aren't allowed to get sick. It's against the law!" That's about right!

Incubation is about 1 to 4 days. Hold your breath for a few more days.

Lynnise - is this the same Lynnise from the July 28th Med Cruise? Its Laura! The lady taking ALL KINDS OF PICTURES (in everybody's faces - sorry) I still have your picture of you and your mom - did your sister go too? I also have one of you and your mom I believe in the hallway outside Lumiere's.

Thanks Ken. Man you guys get a LOT of snow. Looks like what I used to remember as a kid. At least your city sends someone out to clean up behind the plow. I still remember shoveling an entire driveway, only to be plowed back in and start all over once the plow came through.

Our snow plow guys drive by with gleep in their eyes when they see a freshly shoveled driveway. I swear you can hear them laugh as they rev their engines, gun the motors and shove four feet of snow and ice halfway up the driveways.

Just print it on the lower back/bottom of the tshirts and then do not tuck them into your pants or shorts.
