As they haven't paid in full what happens to their reservation? Does it mean they lose it, or have they longer to PIF?

One time I did not pay of time (forgot). They gave me a 5 day grace period to call in and pay (I got an e-mail). That is one of the reasons I like using DU...they send many reminder e-mails.

But if they cancel after the 90 day mark...(which we are now in) they will forfit their deposit...which is a lot as I think the were CAT 2 right?

Sorry, no. Just got the note in the mail on Thursday and since it was going to CA from OH it won't get to her until this week sometime. I did see where they weren't PIF yet, though. It may just be the of us couples at dinner. They should keep us linked even if Noel doesn't come.

Now that this fiasco is pretty much over, I have to tell you what we did yesterday evening. In about two weeks we will have a new addition to our family. We are getting a male, miniature long haired Dachshund. He is black and tan and will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. I took some pictures and will post them as soon as I can. He is really cure.

I need some help now, though, I would kind of like to name him a Disney name but haven't really found one I liked. I had a male sheltie that we lost a few years ago and his name was Jiminy Cricket, JC for short. If anyone can come up with anything we would love some ideas.

Hey Lori did you see my note about adding Step and dropping Tim? I figure they won't turn down your husband since he is on your ressie, but I was worried that Step might get dropped. We'll have to work on it later. I'll call and ask next week and see what they say, I expect to deal with it on board.

Yay- we're all in at Las Caletas

aaaand it's 12 hours from when I first started this debacle. No ziplining or pirate ship, but Las Caletas looks pretty cool, so I'm not going to complain too much.

I also booked the rasul! I figure it's better to have the spot, and I can always cancel it if we can't afford the expense or whatever

Aye, I know everybody was stress but glad it is over now.

Not over for me....after hours and hours on the East Coast I gave up and went to sleep. I was supposed to be at church at 6am....but instead I have been hanging at the hospital with Vanessa.

PJ booked a dinner for Palo for our group of 4 ladies, but I will nto be able to that if Daniel can't eat with us...I would not leave him alone.

I was able to book a Palo dinner on another sea day just for Daniel and maybe they will let me join him..or we will cancel that as well.

That is all...nothing else.

If anyone has a brunch or Tea to share....let me know.....

I am going to look in my records and see if anyone else other than Noel was going to try and book and a 30 day out brunch for 14...I was on one of those lists......Let me see I will be right back

Good Morning Everyone.
I am still catching up on part 3 and then moving on to part 4. I see there was alot of frustration last night. I was able to get all our excursion choices and brunch. It took me 3 hours to get it done. We had DBil and his kids here spending the night and DBil makes killer margaritas, so that made my wait time more bearable.
Here is what I got...
CC- Bike rental. I waited until this am to book this. I couldn't stay awake any longer last night.

Aruba- Natural Wonders at 8:30--Nan, I hope this is what you got. I haven't caught up enough to see if you did. Yes what will poor Paul and I do.

Acapulco-Acapulco City Tour with Divers at 12:45

PV- Historic Towns and Tequila Tour at 9:00

Cabo-Coastal Highlights Tour at 9:00

Brunch on the 15th at 10:30

Yup we did the same time. Now the goal is to go to bed the night before to make sure I can wake up on time...Bubba, leave me alone the night before...

With Noel worryingly missing is there any other way I can cancel our group Palo dinner reservations as since we can't have more than one we have decided to book as a couple?

I think Kim has a copy of the master list since she was working with Noel on this. Several on the portion of the list that I have are no longer going with us.

Actually thought of Prince Charming this morning while laying in bed but forgot until you mentioned it again. Will have to run that by DH. At least we have some time to get what he needs. It has been almost 17 years since we have had a puppy.

I think in the suites they will loose their deposit. I would think DCL would try to contact them before canceling.

We got the Tequila tour at 9am. Just took me the last hour to get that one. All I have left to try and get is Acapulco. Well besides Brunch....

I'm gonna party with you the night before so you can have the hair of the dog that next morning

By Kim do you mean Kimeric? Or is there another Kim? I was only just theinking that even though I am off PJ's master list on the website, I am still on the one in for being booked in the private room if we get it. If we do then my couple reservation will be automatically cancelled which I don't want. It is just the dinner list I would like to come off.

Glad to add you to the list. Believe me, I know what you mean. I have three kids, last one is graduating from college this May. Love being an empty nester finally.

I will let you know more details probably about 30 days or less before the sailing if we can get the private rooms.

I think I will start a list for a private brunch for 30 days out. I have done this many times before and have all the correct phone #'s for the folks that plan the back room.


If I can get 14 interested to book brunch on a sea day....I will try for the back room...(even if Noel does re-join...she may be too stressed to do this).

So if you want to work with me to try and get the private room for a sea day brunch...send me a PM.

After 5 plus hours on the website Sat night/ Sun morning (like everybody else) then waking and finding ALL of our ressies MISSING (like everybody else), I call the 1-800 number (like everybody else) and get nothing to tell my crying wife.


A little digging, a "who-is" search (all fueled by frustration) uncovered this little chestnut:

I bet a few hundred E-mails, phone calls and FAXES to this woman would let The Company know just how poor the performance really is on their website....

Make sure you make note of the nearly 80 years of innovation and technical progress and how this is very incongruant with a company who's vast world wide holdings where built on delivering "warm fuzzies", not frustration. Pretty pictures would gladly be traded for a white screen with black Helvatica text with reservation making options that actually work.

What is Loretta's title? Is she an Administrative assistant to someone or is she a manager? I thnk emails to Tom.Mcalpin@disney.com will be more effective as he is the head cheese. Same message. Positives we have seen at Disney for years and years, suggestions as to what would make it better for us and sincere regret that this was such a Tragic Moment that went on for over 12 hours.
