I agree with you Linda, It would be better to fly out of lgb or sna but if you have to do LAX. Flyboy and I both say do a flight after 2pm. That way you are not rushing and stressing out. Also Southwest at LAX on sundays always have long lines to check in and go through security just keep that in mind too.

I'm hoping that any Sunday lines won't be as long as usual because of the holiday the next day. We booked 1:00pm out of LAX...

Direct would be so much better Holly.
Yes, having traveled many times with Tyler and being in tears when we finally arrive, direct is my preference! :goodvibes Worth paying a bit more for. Still checking. Problem is I end up checking all over and everything starts to blur together.

Best option for us is direct, to avoid any unnecessary stress, and to fly from Lansing to avoid having to pay airport parking. I'm determined enough to make it happen! NO WORRIES! :goodvibes

Prices can rise too.

Who flys direct from Lansing?

I know, but couldn't book until I knew for sure about the cruise. :thumbsup2 Hmmm....just not seeing nonstop to MCO from LAN, but will check from Kalamazoo because that's where my mom lives and we could park our car at her house to avoid airport parking. :goodvibes Off to check that option now.

I found out only Allegiant, but they don't fly on the right day for us. SO I'll check Kalamazoo. OH!!! BRAINSTORMING success again! I can fly nonstop from DTW and rent a car to get to the airport! That's cheaper than paying all those days of parking!

Nope, nobody flies nonstop from Kalamazoo to MCO. SO.....I'm back to Detroit to MCO. There are many hotels near the airport that do the park & fly free parking deals, so I'll check into that too.

OMG just realized I have no return flight LOL
What time would you say it is safe to make them for? 10 am? 11am? noon? I have no idea!

I haven't made our returns flights yet either.

We are staying a night at GC. Stay a night and play at Dland with us.

Then we can all go to the airport together on Monday late afternoon....

Holly, your like me...really good at muli-tasking:thumbsup2

or like me and flaking out on work and reading and writing on the DIS instead of working....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: just kidding, well not really. I've decided that it's easier for me to come in the house, eat lunch and read than it is at my desk every few minutes. I multi-task my work/clients, so dis really doesn't fit there too well.

Think positive!!! Smartie lovers unite!!!

I'm in. But darn it the last 2 stores I looked for them I couldn't find them...not at walmart or today at walgreens. I must go on a mission for smarties trip soon.

Holly - Ultimate fares has Detroit to MCO $54 direct. How much is a rental car?

I'm working here too... but most of my work is done on line and at home - I like working in my jammies... the commute isn't too bad either...

I love the get ready time in the morning...roll outta bed, walk to the kitchen for coffee then outside to the office for work hmmm 45 seconds, okay maybe 1 minute

Found this on my computer. Can't remember where I copied it from, although most likely on the DIS. But haven't seen it used recently so thought I'd share.

They look like m&ms

I haven't checked into a rental car price yet because the idea just popped into my head, but when I rented in the past from Enterprise, I think it was around $20 for a day.

I just tried to book one of those fares from Ultimate fares and when you get to the screen where you pay, they added taxes of $62/person!

I'll keep looking when I get home. Leaving work now! :dance3:

That is so maddening. Over here they now are supposed to put total fare inc taxes but it doesn't always seem to be the case.
