Max size for carry on

Since coolers are no longer permitted, guess I won't be bringing the rolling soft-sided cooler we used to bring. Does any one know the max size for a suitcase to fit thru the x-ray scanner at the port?

Since we will be flying SW, thought I'd just check an extra bag with a little bubble wrap. The beverages would be purchased and "packed" while at WDW the day before the cruise. I don't have an extra of what I would call a "carry on" size bag. Just wondered what size I could use.

When I went on cruise in May my husbnad use a 26 inch and didnt have any problems with the scanner at the port
