For my daughter's 16th birthday we will be going back to DCL June 2018. Here's the catch: She doesn't want to disembark. She wants to take advantage of low crowds, hang out by the pools and make the most of everything the ship has to offer. Which ship would you choose?

We've been on the Magic 3 times - different itineraries. She wants warm, so Alaska is out. What are your thoughts?

Do you have a preference as to how long a cruise? I suggest you look for an itinerary that has a lot of port days, then. Since a large number of people will be off the ship while in port, fewer people will be onboard. The downside to that is, port days, while there are still some activities onboard, there are fewer ones on port days.

Good thoughts. As long we have sun, a pool, and free food (well, free for her) she'll be good. :)

If you're not getting off the ship, I'd pick the cheapest Fantasy one, so you'll have a 7 day cruise. Or it looks like the Dream is doing a few 5 night trips with 2 stops at Castaway Cay, so that could be an option as well.

I'm in agreement with the Fantasy or at least one of the Dream Class ships. The activities they offer are a bit greater and some aren't dependent upon CM direction/involvement - considering that quite a few CMs also go to shore along with the passengers. The MidShip Detective agency is really loads of fun for all ages and a great activity when the hallways and vestibules aren't clogged with people.

Do you want to disembark? She can certainly stay on the ship, while you and any other members of your family leave the ship.
