Matthew & Jaclyn's PJ GF Beach/LSS/UK Lower:Update - Ending my PJ due to problems

Update - I spoke to DFTW today!!!

Yay! If I wasn't sick on my week off I probably would have relayed more enthusiam to my consultant or planner? which do you get first?

So yesterday I called and spoke to an assistant who took all my info down

date
where I'm from
Did I look at the Wishbook
What kind of wedding
how many guests
locations I was thinking of
Estimated budget
And some other stuff I forgot already! I promise I'll write more down in the future

So the assistant says that someone will call me in 2 or more business days. I'm like great I had a week off and now I have to talk to them on my first day of my job. But the Consultant called today! We spoke of some things I wanted and I asked some questions about room block. I couldn't think of anything to ask, but now thinking about it all day, I have more to ask.

Anyway, we scheduled our site visit! Yay! Now I have to give the consultant our choices of times, dates, & locations so she can book us since our year date will be the week BEFORE we are down there. SO basically if we like what we see Then we are good.

And I also had a phone convo with Randy today! Yay! Once I send him the form tomorrow, he's booked for the wedding! And we scheduled our engagement photos that week too.

Now I emailed Ana and I'm waiting to schedule makeup with her. This will be my test phase, If I like her I'm going to just book her for the wedding.

I also finalized the changes for the cruise and DF will fax our contract tomorrow.

So here's the checklist

For the Site Visit
1. DFTW Site Visit scheduled
2. Engagement shoot with Randy Scheduled
3. Accomandations Booked
4. Need to book airfare and car rental
5. Need to book hair & makeup for photo shoot
6. Need to schedule Videographers appts
7. Need to schedule Officiants appts
8. Email Carolyn Ann's to see if maybe we can look around?

Is there anyone else we should try and meet with while we are there for the site visit? We also plan to go resort touring to see what places we like best at Disney property - can we do this?

For the wedding & honeymoon
1. Randy Chapman booked
2. Honeymoon Cruise booked
3. Bridal Shopping scheduled for 2/16/09 at Bridaltown
4. Bridal Shopping scheduled for 3/1/2009 at Arielle's Bridal ------------------------->(don't you just love them name!)
5. Passport Application completed today at Post Office

Also I purchased Hershey Kiss labels for the welcome bags. Hopefully they hold up with Florida Heat! Has anyone shipped their supplies down to Florida for their welcome bags to their resort maybe?

Here they are

sebastiankisslabels.jpg

I'm planning on keeping the characters to a minimum for the actual wedding, Using just the castle and the starfish and shells graphic for the invites, programs, etc. And then the reception maybe using characters for the table cards, and Starfish and shells graphic for menu cards. But I figured for the welcome bags, the small stuff and newsletters maybe I have some fun with Characters.

Since I start my new job on Monday, I won't be seeing you guys as much! :guilty: I've enjoyed spending my week off cleaning, and being addicted to these boards! Well wish me luck on my very first day!!!

Awww! I can't sneak over and peak at the dresses you will be trying on at Bridaltown. I'll be heading home to my cousin's shower that weekend. :( I hope everything goes well. If you get Gail tell her I said hello.

Megan

Oh yeah, I don't know if I mentioned. Bridaltown does not let you take pictures. If you have a camera phone you can probably sneak some in. They have a line exclusive to them that doesn't even have pictures on the internet. My dress came from that line, so I won't have pictures until I can go in for fittings.

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: LOVE the labels! that's my favorite part of the movie. That's fantastic

congrats on getting so far with you planning.... look forward to reading more. good luck with your new job.

I like the fitted one, too, but the folds are maybe a little much. Could also be the sheen of the fabric. I know when I was looking I was partial to certain fabrics.

Have you tried a halter style? It seems like most gowns out there are strapless, but there are some nice halter ones that might work on you - you have great shoulders!

I LOVE the bag labels! They are too cute!

I want to wish you luck on your first day tomorrow, I hope you love it!:goodvibes

Thanks, I need all the luck I can get I'm getting really nervous!

Thank you! My Dad says the same thing, but I always thought he was just being a 'dad'. I haven't found any halter gown pics I like but I'll probably ask to try on some when I go.

Thank you! I had someone on ebay design them for me, when I recieve them I'll post pics and post her Info. I just don't want to post it yet until I recieve the finished product. She has been great to work with!

Thanks, I'm getting really, really, nervous!

Sounds like you accomplished alot! Congrats on booking Randy. He is amazing!

Here's my last update before I go back to work! I'm really excited but really nervous to start my new job. I have been trying to find a new job for the past year (it felt like it took ten years) and I finally got it and I'm starting to get really nervous! I kinda had my old job down so that I could do it with my eyes closed and that's just it I was bored! But I loved the people there. But I really wanted a salary increase and a step up career wise and I got it now, but I'll be starting all over again and won't have the comfy feeling like I had at my old job. SO wish me luck! Right after this post, I'll be picking out my first day outfit, which is going to be hard considering we really need to do laundry.

Back to wedding....

Veronica from beauty Speciale emailed me back and it looks like I'm scheduled for 8:00 am the morning for my engagement shoot. i could have very easily did my own but I wanted to try her out and since this is one of only two times I'll be in orlando, I'm taking advantage of it. I'm doing my hair done in waves and getting my makeup done. I didn't realize that they actually don't have a 'location' so they are coming to my timeshare off-site and it only adds $25 on to my bill for them to come to the Kissimee area. So another thing done, check!

Another thing I did today was organize all of our wedding stuff into an excel spreadsheet. I've starting this spreadshett so long ago and it's amazing how much info I've collected. It has our Budget, Guest list, Wedding choices, Vendor Contacts, Appts, Music Choices, Rehearsal Meal Options, Welcome Party Options, Honeymoon info like transfer, excurions, etc, and also a Payment schedule where I've been putting in our Deposits and when our next payment will be due (I only have Randy Chapman & the cruise on there though)Next thing to do in my spare time is to go through all of these bridal mags and throw them out! I've held on to too many of them and need to rip out the pics I want to save.

I still have to book our flight for Sept. and car rental, I really need to do that!!

Df and I got to talking and decided that we would rather have a later, beach ceremony then have the dessert party the same day. I really wish we could have done this, but we'll try to have a dessert party another day if possible.

So we've picked the top 3 Locations and dates to send to my consultant, once I have my list of ?'s, I'll send it to her.

Another thing I did is have DF look at Carolyn Allen's site, I also realized all this time I've been calling her Carolyn Ann's:rotfl:

I scheduled an appt for Df to take a look at their stuff, I'm waiting for confirmed on that.

We both like this because today we were talking about how the groomsmen could wear flip-flops. I thought this may kinda tacky but I'm not that concerned with groomsmens footwear on my wedding day

We'll see if it works maybe when we visit their shop

I found a pic from the Disney bridal line of the style neckline I like. I would like a little more on the shoulder though

snowwhitedress.jpg

Here are the bridesmaids flowers I really like, Tiger lillies )I think that's what they are are my fav flower) This pic is from Mary626 wedding. I first saw her on STVS wedding Demo and then I saw her on the boards and had to tell her how much I liked her wedding. She's really nice and I hope she doesn't mind me using her picture, but it was the best way to describe them to you guys!

In these colors (pic was borrowed from another DIS bride but I forget who!, But if you see my PJ, thank you for the picture!)

To be honest, I really want a small bouquet. I just hate heavy bouquets and won't want to carry it around and I'll just leave it somewhere which would be a total waste of money. I know I'll destroy my bouquet by the end of the night also because I'll probably be smacking DF with it too. I have a tendency to jokingly smack him with whatever I am holding. :rotfl:

savethedatestamp.jpg

And here's the ones I want for my invites. I really don't want our actual wedding to have alot of cartoon Ariel so I liked the little pic of Flounder in it!

weddingstamp.jpg

I really wanted to take a picture of my shoes but the camera is dead so that will be my next update.

I also wanted to save the stamps I want from zazzle since I was in such an organizing mood today. here's the one I want to order for my save-the dates.

Ok, now it's time to pick out my outfit for my first day of work and get myself organized, wish me luck!!!!

I love your PJ....Now I am thinking of doing a "Under the Sea" theme for our Party back home after our Cruise Wedding.

I love this!!!! Can I come to your wedding haha,JK!!!! I can not wait to see your wedding pictures :)

Your plans so far are great! I love your Hershey Kiss labels and I think the mermaid style dress looks very flattering on you. Maybe not that particular dress with a sash but definitely the style. Good luck on your first day!

You're doing a great job! Shopping for your dress can be very stressful, but it's fun too! How often in your life do you get to try on such beautiful gowns and then actually buy one of them?!

Can I just say that Bridaltown looks a little scary?

This dress has convertible straps - strapless, halter or spaghetti. Is that common? I'm out of the dress loop. I'm sorry the pic is so tiny. It was either huge or tiny.

So, what did you think of Bridaltowne? I am considering going there next weekend, but it looks a little overwhelming to me. Can't wait to hear all about what you thought of the whole process there.

Cam,

They have sooo many dresses there. I really feel like I've been pimping them out this past week. I found a dress there though. They do have a "plus" size building. I spent most of my time looking in there. I looked in the main building too, and was able to try on some things there. Good luck!

Thank you so much for letting me know! I just got their mailer and it looks like huge warehouses full of gowns. I was pretty intimidated until I saw they also stock the Disney line. That was a nice surprise!

Double check about them stocking the Disney line. When I was there in December they said that they carry it, but they don't keep them in stock.

I'm kinda hestitant about Bridaltown too because I read negative reviews about them on other wedding sites. But they seem to have good prices and they supposedly carry the Disney line. It says on their website now their having trunks shows, but I couldn't get a straight answer when I asked on the phone if that means they'll have them there.

I go this Saturday. I'm already going through withdraw of wedding planning! Being off the whole week got me spoiled! So I'm looking forward to the dress shopping. I'll let you all know how it goes!

Definitely do it!!! I'm actually really jealous of you because Cruise weddings get a special Certificate and Pin that is of Ariel & Eric!!! For marketing purposes they associate Cindy with the land DFTW and Ariel with the Cruises. I've seen the pin on ebay and its sooo cute!

I love this!!!! Can I come to your wedding haha,JK!!!! I can not wait to see your wedding pictures :)

Thanks Lynn! You never know, I meant just need to recruit wedding guests! lol:rotfl: We have no idea really (at this point) who will make the trip.

Thank you! I've been stuck in oreintation so I didn't even really start working yet. This Saturday at Bridaltown I'll be trying on some mermaid styles I thinl. I love the Kiss Labels, I had someone on ebay make them and she was awesome!

This is really pretty. I've heard some bad reviews about Bridaltown but I have time on my hands, so why not go and try on stuff? I can't wait to try on more though! I'm gonna try on more styles I think and less sleeveless.
