Cute! Stop acting too cool for school. Matching shirts are fun and make for great pictures.

We do them several times. We found an awesome designer on etsy who makes the cutest shirts. We are in the process of having several different styles made for our girls-only trip!

These are the first set of shirts we had made:

Were these done by your Etsy designer? You mind sharing where I can find them? These are awesome!

Sure! I highly recommend her. Her shop is designs by PalmettoMom.

She was professional, gladly answered all of my questions before ordering with a smile you could read in the responses and what I liked about her most is her #1 concern was that I got exactly what I wanted.

Sorry, lame. I've never seen a dad, granddad, or teen looking happy in their family-matched shirts!

No, really, it's OK. We did it once as a full family, with "Bad Girls" and "Bad Boys" tees that we bought in Disney. Me, DH, DD, sis, bil,2 nieces. Got lots of comments, but they were really cool shirts. Still have them, and when we travel together we wear them as night shirts. Also bought matching princess shirts for DD6, nieces 2 and 9 at the time, for breakfast at the Castle. BUT that is all. Can't imagine DH, now ex-bil, and the teenagers happily wearing princess or pooh shirts anymore!

i like some matching. i'm not really a fan of the all-one-color screen-printed ones.

we did coordinating on our last trip, but only on one day. the ladies wore a matching shirt; the men all wore a gray Mickey tee (the two little boys just wore whatever gray Mickey tee i could find).

Maybe you have not been around the right people. We do themed shirts for at least 1 day on our extended family trips. Our party consists of people ranging in age from 5 - 66. This includes 3 husbands, one of which is a grandpa and all 3 are a dad as well. They are never upset about it. My daughter is 15 and always wants us to match shirts we find at the Disney Store at least 1/3 of our trip. :goodvibes

I like the homemade ones, but I think the store bought ones look a bit tacky. Usually they have too much detail on them to make them a good choice for photos. When selected properly, they can be ok though.

Here's a pic of DH and DS in their matching shirts on our last trip:

I voted lame. But I sometimes think it's cute for/on other families when I see good ones (that clearly took some work). Just not something I'm willing to put energy or time into.

i just add our lil'story from 2010, because twas so funny ,
@ least to me.

we hit the discounted disney store before our first day. i
wasn't too happy when my wife came across some
shirts that she wanted us to wear....a mouse trying to
dress up liked his idol "mickey". i told her they were ugly &
why they were selling/giving them away. did she listen to
me?

this was our first dvc trip too our home resort, blt, &
we did 2 weeks over christmas & the new year holidays.

but as things turned out~
we had all kind of nice things done or given to us because of
those ugly shirts.

the funny part came later after we got home, & i took credit
...all the credit...when we told family /friends all about the
good luck they gave us...& the reactions my wife gave me.

Same here, my 13 year old sister is looking forward to the matching shirts as much as I am.

LOVE the shirts. we found a lady on ebay who put all of us on the shirt and we got to design what the stick character looked like to match each one of us. it was my family and my dads brother and his family. 7 in all and the shirts really were awesome and we had people asking us constantly where we got them. we were there for 5 days and wore them for 3 days, we loved them so much!!!!! we cannot wait to do them again!! =)

We did it one year when we went w/ my inlaws, my Dh hated it but I didn't mind....Honestly I don't do the matching shirt thing but I do have similar shirts for my kids to wear. Even though I don't have us all wear matching shirts I don't think its lame;) It's Disney and if you want your family to wear matching shirts I say go for it! It will be cute and it is easier to spot each other. The year we did it we had a big group of people that would split up at times. I could always spot them quickly with the bright blue Disney shirts on:)

Some are cute and some are lame - I voted lame. We had them once - they ere beer drinking shirts - but my kids are older - a lot older.

It's definitely lame, but don't let that stop you. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, so long as you're getting something out of it.
