Let me clarify that we would ONLY do this at Disney. Anytime I can get my DS17 to wear a shirt matching mine and his grandma's is a magical thing!! We have shirts from our favorite rides, so a few days out of our trip we will wear our ride shirts (ToT, Soarin'). Otherwise, we just tend to wear similiar colors so the pics look good!

Willing to share your Etsy source and price range?

Her shop is called designs by PalmettoMom. The shirts are Gildan brand, which is a good quality shirt. They are material and stitching, no screening. The price range is based upon how many you have in an order. For a single shirt it is roughly $24. We figured a screened shirt in Disney World made with cheaper quality material would cost more than that, so this was totally worth it. Plus, I would wear it on each Disney trip since it is not specific to that particular vacation.

LOVE the shirts. we found a lady on ebay who put all of us on the shirt and we got to design what the stick character looked like to match each one of us. it was my family and my dads brother and his family. 7 in all and the shirts really were awesome and we had people asking us constantly where we got them. we were there for 5 days and wore them for 3 days, we loved them so much!!!!! we cannot wait to do them again!! =)

What can I search to find these? Sounds cute!

For our family, they are part of the tradition. Make fun of us if you want, but we like it. It's easy to find each other in a crowd too. We've gotten a lot of attention from characters - Green Army Men called us out in the Block Party Bash as hidden Mickey's, Pooh loved our red shirts at a character breakfast and pointed us out again at a parade, that sort of thing.

We do a couple of variations:

1. All the same shirt. I make them with iron-ons or we buy them from Disney
2. Same shirt design, different colors.
3. Park theme
4. Character theme - we all have different Phineas and Ferb, boys Micky girls Minnie, that sort of thing

Here's some photos:

We will all be in matching attire on our park days. I like to do solid colors in each person's "style". DH will have just a regular black shirt, I'll have a v-neck black shirt, DD9 will have short sleeves with jewels, DD7 will have a tank, DD5 will have a frilly tank, etc. On our travel day we will have iron ons, but the rest of the time just solid-like colors. What's not to love?!

We wore matching shirts that I made for my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary trip (one day only). Please ignore my youngest niece acting like the clown she is. And I have no idea what her brother is up to but it sure can ruin a good pic :rolleyes1

Very nice!! :thumbsup2

We had it on for 2 different days, I think its great.... easy to find each other in the crowd and if you personalize them, its good memories.
I would not do it every day though.

I wouldn't do it...I just don't prefer it.

But I voted cute because people who do it seem so happy and festive usually.

I think it's great.

I voted cute for all of the reasons people have stated.

DH and I aren't doing so much as doing "themed" ever day of our upcoming trip. One day is our favorite NCAA team, one day our favorite MLB team, one day our favorite NHL team, etc.

We've done both matching shirts and themed ones. One of my favorite photos is of us, MIL, Mickey & Minnie where the four of us were wearing coordinating T-shirts of solid bright yellow, white, red and black. I had ironed little Mickey heads onto the pockets. Mickey & Minnie noticed it right away and gave us the thumbs up!

CM's have told us they love families in matching shirts because they can always tell party size and who goes with who.

When we do bring matching shirts, at MOST I will do one shirt for each park, then it's freestyle for the rest of the trip. Since we generally go back to the resort for a rest/ swim, then head out to different park, the matching only happens in the morning, which is fine. Often we'll only do one day of matching shirts, making sure to get lots of photos.

When you have a large group and especially with children it is helpful. People are less likely to push aside or between your group. We did this often when the kids were young and it was great. Now as teens no need.

I voted cute of course because we did it on our trips, two to Disney and one to Sea World. On our first trip we had 3, one for Chef Mickey’s, one for Crystal Palace and one Thanksgiving shirt. On our Sea World trip we matched on each of our two touring days. Got lots of compliments on those.

Our last Disney trip I went all out. I went overboard a bit according to my daughter, but every time I was looking through designs she would jump on the bed next to me and end up saying I don’t know how many times, “Oh, put that on a shirt for me!” We went for 10 days and we each had a shirt a day, but not all matching. We had 4 shirts that completely matched, one for Epcot, one for Tusker House/Animal Kingdom, one for Crystal Palace and one for Garden Grill. The other shirts were made from designs here, but we weren’t matching each other. Usually the shirt of the day represented something we were going to do that day. Like dd wore an Ariel shirt on the day we planned to do the meet and greet. Actually she and I matched that day. When we had our princess character meals, I wore shirts that had princess themed name fills that said Mom or Mama. Ds wore a Handy Manny shirt the day we had our Hollywood and Vine breakfast at DHS and dd and I wore another type of shirt. Ds had a Mickey shirt he wore to Chef Mickey’s.

No shirts in the plan for this trip at all. Although I may do one for our 2nd park day. I scored an 8:10am Crystal Palace ADR and it might be neat to have matching shirts for those almost empty park Photopass shots. Other than that, dd has a couple of special outfits and ds has a couple of Disney themed short sets, but that’s it for now.

I always thought this was a little lame, but was part of a group of 12 a couple of years ago that all wore M&M shirts. It gave us additional perks I never would have thought of. One example: on the way to the theater shows I stopped to buy a coke. When I got to the stadium I had multiple cast members tell me "your family is right up there". I never even had to look for anyone in the crowd.

I say do it now if you can get everyone to agree! When the kids are older they sure won't! Also you may get friendly comments and that is fun to interact with people. I only made one set of shirts and we wore it to MK.
