Matching shirts...cute or dumb?

DH is not a matching shirt type person. However, DD and DS managed to talk him into matching with his family last year, so we got lime green (DD's idea and she has no idea about the DIS) disney shirts. We wore them once as a family at Disney.

This year, I got Disney t-shirts for the family, but in different colors, DD and DS both decided to wear their yesterday and I wore my old lime green one. By coincidence, DH put his lime green one on too. :rotfl:

Each time I go to WDW in a group I always make sure that the 1st day we all wear matcing shirts.....I should say different color shirts but they all say "Disney" on the front. I just think it's cute and fun. We are all still different but "matching" at the same time. I get them from the DisneyStore.com and they come in a wide variety of colors. It's just fun to do.....

I went to visit my mom this week, who is going along on our December DW trip. She was talking about where to find Crocs to match my DDs so I asked her how she felt about tie dye. She got a panicked look on her face and asked why. I guess the tie dyed mickeys are out for us....

I must confess, I always thought they were completely dumb. I used to ridicule families with matching attire, commenting how dorky it was to all match alike on a vacation and how absurd it was to tour the parks like some sort of fraternity pledge class with matching costumes. I know, harsh, but it's true :rolleyes1

NOW however, I have a two year old. Last time we visited he was 6 months but for our upcoming visit this year, I'm in a near panic in my head trying to figure out how I can make sure that he, DH, & I have no problems with getting separated or, if we did, finding each other. NOW, I totally get the beauty of matching outfits and applaud those who were smart enough to set the trend!!! :worship:

I always dress "Disney" for my trips. Clothes, jewelry, ears, the whole nine yards. It's part of the fun.

A couple of times I bought matching t-shirts for my mom and myself. It was halloween and I found t-shirts at the local Wal-Mart that had the Pooh characters dressed in costumes and said Haunted Acre Woods. I also bought drawstring treat bags that looked like pumpkins to use as purses. (That was the year we dressed as jack-o-lanterns for MNSSHP). We were stopped several times during that day by people asking where we got our shirts.

It's not something I would do anywhere else but WDW. But while you're there its a time to be a kid again, be a little silly and enjoy the magic!
