We did them on our last trip but getting DH to do it will be a joke! I was wondering how many of you like to match and do you have pics?

This is my first ever pic post so hope it works!!!

I love seeing groups in matching tee's- it makes me smile.

On the other hand my DH would not be caught dead in one:confused3:confused3

DH was not thrilled at first but even he realizes you get great looking pictures that way. We were even pulled out of line waiting going into where they teach you to draw a character because we had on matching incredible logo t-shirts. We had already gotten Mr & Mrs. but Frozone came out and they wanted a group shot.

And it is so much easier to spot your group.

DH says WDW has some exceptions to the traditional man rules. :lovestruc Plus it's a little thing that he knows makes me happy.:thumbsup2

My biggest problem now is packing light when we have too many matching outfits.

I don't like them only because I'm a 15 year old girl who's embarrassed to be matching with her family :thumbsup2

Hmmm...I'm kinda on the fence with this one.

I think it's cute to a point...I dress my boys in matching (as much as possible for a 2yr old and a 3 month old) tops when we are in DLRP and I think that's fine.

I think it's probably more acceptable in WDW and DL than at DLRP as I think (without being offensive) there are more hardcore Disney fans that visit those parks than DLRP.

We still get very odd looks from people at DLRP when wearing our pin lanyards and contantly get asked if we are CM's :confused3

:rotfl: I had to laugh when I saw this because I have done a great deal of planning for our trip and have shirt designs (THANK YOU DIS-igners!)! Well I finally showed DH my matching shirt plans and rolled his eyes and laughed!! I told him not to worry, it would just be the girls (and maybe me for some of them!!)! I think it is fun! You are at the one place where you can be a kid again!! :lovestruc

Do I care when other people do it? No Do I like it when other people do it? Yes I think it's cute.

But it's just not my style. I will be getting my kids matching shirts if DS lets me!

Yep - my avatar pic. I LOVED the pics we got in our matching shirts.

We had breakfast that morning at 1900 park faire. Pooh was all excited because we had red shirts, just like he does. Later that day in the parade, Pooh saw us on the curb, counted 1-2-3-4 at us, then grabbed his shirt. Same Pooh! Recognized us and made a special little moment for us because of our matching shirts.

I LOVE families with matching shirts. I'll be doing more for our trip in August! DH was fine with it - it's DISNEY for crying out loud!! ;)

At 15, I would've felt the same way! One day in the distant future, you might look back on the photos and think they were cute. ;)

My DGDs were here last Sunday and we were putting the final ok stamp on everything when one of them asked if we were going to do the tee shirts again this year. I was shocked! They actually want to do it! They will be 13 soon after we get back in September so I didn't even bring it up. I have been saving particular pictures just in hopes that they would want to do it again. So I am going this weekend to get the shirts and check out the printers!!!

I love your matching shirts! Great job on the Mickey Swirl shirts-too cute! We did matching shirts on a few days last year and loved it so much. I wish I had more sets. The homemade ones got a lot of attention. I guess I'll be busy over the next 3 months before our Sept. trip!:goodvibes

Ok, my wife has made our family of four matching shirts for each of our past three trips and I will say, I was not keen on it at first. However, I like it and I feel this way...my kids will only be kids once, who cares what people think, I am there to have a good time with "my" family and it makes for some good pictures. Plus, it gets you noticed by the cast members. I cannot tell you the number of magic moments my kids experienced during YOMD and also this past May during our trip (I thought YOMD was over, but they told me they are still doing Magical Moments). This year she handmade and embroidered 8 different sets of four shirts. Maybe some of you were there and saw them.

1. Traditional Mickey Ears on red shirts for me and son, and Minnie with bow on the girls.
2. Mickey Ear globe for AK.
3. Disco Mickey Ears for dance party at DHS.
4. Mickey topiary for Epcot Flower and Garden Festival.
5. "When you Wish" with a star for First Day of trip.
6. Mickey Ear Chocolate Bar with dripping ice cream.
7. Dr. Doofensmirtz from Phenias and Ferb holding a Fast Pass and thinking in his tone "The Line Eliminator-inator"
8. Celebrate with Mickey shaped balloons.

So, from a male perspective, I am ok with it. Many of my friends tease me, but I don't care. My kids love it.

I REALLY like the first shirts out of your 2 pics. The second ones are very cute, but DH would never wear that :rotfl: Did you make them or buy them? We will be doing matching shirts this August.

On our last trip I got my DH and my 2 sons matching shirts. They were blue ringer type shirts with Donald on them. Super cute (and a steal at only $3 a piece). I think it's kind of cute...as long as the shirts are appropriate for all age ranges!

This is the best picture I got of them together...

I prefer the more subtle approach-all disney themed apparell but never identical.

Nope, not into matching, not since the 70's when it was the rage. But when we're in Disney, we basically wear nothing but Disney apparel but never matching. We have duds that just go on vacation with us, rarely wear at home and enough of them so we don't have to do laundry ( big no-no) on vacation on a 9-12 night trip. Best to leave matching to the children, and they might bawk at the thought.

We have been wearing matching t-shirts every year we have gone as a family-since 2004. (DH, DS11, DS9, and me.) Believe me, my DH isn't the type to do this, but one time my DS11 (9 at the time) wanted to wear something different, and DH said "no, we have to wear the same thing." (!) It is so much easier with wandering kids to keep track of them, plus if we ever got separated I could just point at my shirt and say, "he is wearing this!". When they get older we will give this up, but for now it's a safety measure for us.

Awesome attitude! My DH was also very good with wearing the few matching shirts I had for our family. It was so fun that he was into it.

Can you post pics of the the shirts? They sound great!
