Matching glossy paper

I bought a really cute Mickey paper pack that's glossy and I'm having a hard time using it. I want to mat at least one photo or add things and the glossiness (is that a word?) of the paper makes any other paper look funny with it. How do other people use glossy paper? Any suggestions or examples would be appreciated.

just guessing her but maybe mat with white? I have a triangular corner punch that I sometimes use instead of matting and it adds a little color to each photo...
