I like how the media is playing up the whole "he was harassed" nonsense. It's just a springboard for the "insanity" defense.
Plus, I'd like to hear from the men or women who he's accusing of this so-called harassment. Bet they have a different version, especially since there were complaints about the shooter for pushing his muslim beliefs on people.
And I'm glad he's still alive. He declared jihad on US soil, and should be treated and punished as a terrorist.
no one forced this guy to join the service. He was certainly more than happy to take a small fortune from the us government to fund his medical school education. But when the government expected him to carry out his end of the deal, he wasn't so interested in serving "his" country any longer. So he'll bleed the government dry to pay for med school, and then say, "so long, suckers...."?
Reports are saying he was disturbed because he was being sent to iraq and "might have to hurt other muslims." well, cry me a river. How many christian us service men and women have had to fight and even kill, other christians in the line of duty? Being in the military isn't play checkers......wars happen. And it's safe to say, that at least since our troubles with iran in the 70s, conflict with some muslim nation was not out of the question. He knew that when he signed up.
I don't buy the "he was bullied" line of defense his relatives are already trying to sell. Their pathetic attempts to portray him as a victim are an insult to those he murdered. Perhaps he was the target of a few rude remarks, but he's a senior officer and a psychiatrist at that. If he was truly being harassed that much, i think he'd have done something about it short of mass murder. Nope, this guy had an agenda. A sick, twisted agenda. Red flags were all over the place.
I'm not saying all muslims are dangerous, so don't jump to that conclusion. But this one was. Between his internet postings and remarks he made to others, people should have been getting chill bumps at the thought of him anywhere near a military base.
If i hear, "he was upset at being sent to iraq" one more time, i'll scream. Who is jumping up and down with joy at being sent to iraq? I'd hazard a guess that a huge percentage of those being deployed to iraq are upset, sad, scared, filled with dread, worried, etc. But god bless them, they do their duty and don't go around shooting their fellow soldiers. They do what they have to do. They deserved far better than they got from this coward.
Funny how they tried that with the VA tech killer and noone cared and rightly so.
When you do something so heinous, you lose your privilege of sympathy.
Don't care what religion, gender or race. He's a murdering coward who couldn't live up to his obligations. I hope they bring him to full health and then lock him in a cage with other animals.![]()
well off topic,
But I saw your sig. 'save the planet, it's the only one with beer'

Or, maybe he was a fan of Moby Dick ...
Crazy people do ALL kinds of things with no logical reason whatsoever.
Delusional people often twist religion to explain their own visions; most of the time it is not at all congruent with dogma.
FYI the narrator in Moby Dick was Ishmael.....
Cho Seung-Hui wrote 'Ismael Ax' on his arm in red ink before killing 32 people
The phrase comes from the Koran. The whole sentence is this "ismail ax au milieu" - which translates to "Ismail is the one in the center."
refering to how Abraham was to sacrifice his son ( Ismael in the Koran ) , he used an ax.
