My happiness at this turn of events is once again not because I'm happy to ditch the mask. I never had a problem with wearing a mask (and will likely continue to do so in certain circumstances despite being vaccinated). I'm happy about this development because it means we are winning against the virus and this nightmare that is the pandemic is dying out (at least here).

I hope they don’t continue the mask mandate on all transportation. Seems dumb to require them on the ferries and the launches. Or even the front of the cruisers and the back of the friendship boats.

I believe on boats and ferries masks are optional. Only buses, monorail and skyliner require masks. I'll update the original post with Disney's specific wording.

I'm wondering if they actually enforce small kids who are obviously under 12 and not vaccinated to still wear them? I'd hate for my 3 year old to be the only one having to wear one when he was the only one who DIDN'T wear one this whole past year. 🤔
Yeah I am wondering about my 2 year old. Especially since she won't have to wear one at Universal. She did ok in April except at naptime, but all the big people around her were wearing them.

Just read the paragraph on MDE and it’s ambiguous. We have an MK day planned for the 15th so I guess I’ll see what’s going on then.

Everyone's talking about the masks, but this update from today to DisneyWorld.com has far bigger implications:

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

We will be relaxing physical distancing guidelines for Guests. This will be visible in places like queues, shops, restaurants, attraction boarding, transportation and our theaters. It’s important to remember that some experiences and entertainment may still be operating with limited capacity or may remain temporarily unavailable. We’re not quite ready to bring back everything yet, but we are optimistic and look forward to the day when Disney pals and princesses are able to hug once again.

same! not to mention, no one here has had a cold in over a year and I do not want to start while on vacation.
Yes this!! Back in 2011, I caught a cold right before our Disney trip. I drove my family crazy on the ride down there as it looked like I was carrying an entire drugstore with me :rolleyes1 My cold didn't last as long as usual because I think that Florida sun and all that vitamin D drove it out of me pixiedust: That being said, we are all fully vaccinated, but I will probably wear my mask in certain situations, especially indoor areas with heavy crowds ::yes::

My kid will wear hers, and I already promised to wear mine with her. So if you are there in late August, there will at least be 2 of us!

'Ohana" noodles AND no masks !!! Did I die and go to heaven !!!??? :)). Here we come--- July 14 !!!
#noshrimpcasserole

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no noodles for you.. Ohana will not be bringing back the noodles, last I read.

As of today, noodles are coming back. It’s official; Disney announced it (through a TikTok video).

I hadn't read the boards yet today. I decided to have a life today. I still don't get the excitement around Ohana. We just thought it wasn't very good. But more ADRs for everyone else..

The wording is expected to wear not required to wear. It is not worded in a way that they will enforce non vaccinated kids that are obviously too young to be.

it’s the same wording stores, universal and Seaworld are doing. Which has meant less than 5% are wearing.
