2 bedroom. Anyone stay here? Reviews good or Bad. What type of beds are in each room. Thanks, gina

I can't relay any first hand knowledge as far as staying there, but we were in Williamsburg last month and drove over to the resort. It is a really nice looking place and I would really like to stay there sometime.

We stayed in 1bdroom there July 2005 and it was fantastic. the resort is beautiful, nice pools, tennis courts, kids and adult activities, pizza hut and food store. the accomodations are nice with master bed and bath similar to dvc with jacuzzi in bedroom with 2nd sink area. Living/dining room had full dining set and fireplace(electric), kitchen fully equipped and washer dryer, nice screened-in porch very useful. We stayed in the 2nd section and it was an easy walk to the main reception area. they also had movie rental and staff to help with dining reservations/suggestions and golf(you are right at the course). We had 2 12-year old boys and they loved it. Convenient drive to Busch Gardens and Colonial williamsburg and other attractions. I'd stay there again in a heart beat. Well worth 160 points for the whole week!

There are two parts to this resort - Manor Club and Manor Club Sequel. We stayed in a 2 bedroom in the original part Lovely resort in a neighborhood of half million dollar homes and an excellent golf course. It isn't far off the expressway so it really is convenient to most everything. The outlets aren't too far away either. The resort itself if really nice. The rooms have a colonial decor to match the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. You really can't go wrong with a Marriott.

In the section we stayed in there was a queen in the 2nd bedroom and I believe a King in the master as well as a pullout queen sofa in the living room.

It is a very nice resort and a fairly easy trade for summer, even for 4th of July, if you plan well in advance. It is also one of the places where you may ask for a 1 BR and get a 2 BR not that uncommonly. It is a few miles out of town. Only the Bluegreen and Westgate resorts are walking distance to the historic area.

We were in the original section.

Great room backing up to the woods. The screened in porch was great to read the paper in the am.

The master bedroom was wonderful! The king bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. There is a Food Lion just minutes from the property.

Sounds great. Just booked an exchange for this resort in July. We have 8 in our party so we needed to book a 2 bedroom. 270 points. My four kids and two friends are joining us. I was looking for somewhere my kids could drive incase they couldn't come for the whole 7 days. Any planning tips? Thanks for helping me make my discision./

Besides owning at OKW, I own a week in the original section at Marriott Manor Club. I have toured the sequel section and I like our original section better. It has a more stately and colonial feel to it than the sequel section. It is also closer to the front desk and the indoor pool. I like that it backs up to the golf course. It is nice to sit out on the screened in porch in the morning and watch the golfers on the green. As an owner I also get six free rounds of golf while I am there.

In the original section there is a King size bed in the master bedroom and a queen size bed in the second bedroom. Plus there is a sleeper sofa in the living room.

A plus is that it seems to also trade well for other Marriotts. I have traded for Barony Beach Club on Hilton Head during the summer and the Ko Olina Beach Club on Oahu this past July 4th week.

in the original in the second bedroom there is a day bed -

you can sleep on it - especially when someone refuses to sleep by themselves....

maybe should have her sleep on it -and she would then take the king bed.

:rotfl2:

it is pretty far from the action. so may sure you have a car.

It's funny, we've been to Williamsburg many, many, many times starting with our honeymoon some 36 years ago. In all that time, we've never driven in that area that is to the south and west of Route 60. There is a very nice shopping center area back in there with a number of restaurants and a Barnes and Noble also. I would love to play golf at Ford's Colony. I hope we can do an exchange there in a few years (subject to points availabilty of course :))

Try to do a direct exchange with a member there so you can get the free golf. You likely can also get it for cheaper than 270 points. Members and Marriott exchangers get the free golf but unlike Heritage on HH, non member exchangers do not get the free golf is my understanding.

Thanks Dean for the suggestion. It will probably be 2 years before we could do an exchange as all our points are gone with WDW trips for the next two years. But this is something we really want to do in the future.

One could likely rent a week there for far less than using DVC points if you have the time but not the points you may be far better off. For Golfers there are a few good deals out there. There are 2 resorts on HH that give exchangers free golf. Marriott's Heritage gives you free for 2 each day with one round at Harbour Town. There's another on HH that I've been told gives 4 rounds per day but I think it's an RCI resort and I forget which one, maybe one of the Spinnaker resorts but I'm just not sure. I've been told both give the free golf to all including non internal exchangers. Generally free golf means you only have to pay for a cart and sometimes a few other fees, esp for prime tee times. Given the cost of golf in HH, one could easily pay for the cost of an exchange this way for those who really enjoy golf. I'm sure there are others, it'd be a good question to ask on TUG.
