I'm not thrilled w/the menu, but some of our party really would like to go and I think I'd enjoy the entertainment at least. However, I'd like to decide ahead of time what to order so I won't be unpleasantly surprised.

What were your favorite and not-so-favorite dishes here, and why? Thanks!

I would love to know too. we have a PS made, I think my DH will love the entertainment, but be slightly embarassed (he's very shy)

I really love the beef brewat rolls: it's a beef pastry dish with (I think) cinammon and sugar. The sweet and savory combination was very new for me, and I liked it a lot. One of the desserts was called the bastilla (?) and it was golden pastry sheets with ice cream and honey. That's from memory, so if you can dig up official descriptions, those would obviously be better.

In general the best thing to order for you would be the steak kebabs that are served with rice. I would say to do the chicken which is nice chicken breast marinated in something which I thought my sister would be fine with. She didn't care for it. I thought it was mild.
The Beef Brewat rolls are really good too. Ground beef rolled up in some pastry and deep fried!!! Mmmmm

We actually ordered the Marrakesh Feast last time we were there. It was served family style, so we all got to try a little of everything (soup, beef brewat rolls, lemon chicken & beef shish kebabs) plus we got a little dessert tray too. That way if someone wasn't thrilled with one dish they could taste it and move on to the next.

I've never had anything I didn't like there, but the Feast was a fun way to try more foods. I especially liked the soup!

Is it a good choice for those who do not eat beef, pork, etc. Chicken is fine, but will this be a good option with those limitations? We have a PS, also what type of entertainment is there?

I am a very picky eater and really enjoyed Marrakesh. I would go with something like the kebabs as well. The atmosphere there is great with the belly dancers and the musicians. Even though I am not an adventerous eater I loved it there and have a PS for my next visit as well.

Only been there once, but the Lemon Chicken was outstanding, and fairly unadventurous for the picky eaters out there.

We're going back sometime the first week of May and looking forward to trying one of the other dishes!

I was also unsure about how I would like the food the first time I went but I was very pleasantly surprised and have gone back several times since. I highly recommend the couscous. You can get it with just vegetables or with chicken or lamb. It is DELICIOUS!!!. I have also had the roast lamb meshoui which was just roast lamb in its natural juices and that was wonderful as well! Enjoy!

Is there always entertaiment or is it scheduled at certain time?

I read that the Bellydancer is there at 10 min. to the hour and there is a gap of time in the afternoon between lunch and dinner with no dancing. The thread took it's info from the steve soares website.

We ate there 2 trips ago as our adult night out and this coming trip we plan to take our kids there with us. We enjoyed it and thought the food was good.
