Ladies (I think we are all ladies, right?) I was very bad today. I probably spent more today then I have in years in a single day. But I have a confession...I don't regret it. I will record tomorrow, but let me explain. My DD16 has been in a slightly goth/not feminine/not really caring about her appearance phase. Itg is over.
In addition to that, she has always been a daddy's girl, not that there is anything wrong with that, but to the exclusion of me. She would rather he take her shopping and stuff. Today she wanted MOM!!! It was prom dress shopping, and we found one that is so feminine, so beautiful, she is just stunning in it and I couldn't believe my daughter wanted it. It was $200
but I bought it for her. She also got some new clothes (she has lost about 20 pounds or so.) It was a great day but not one that I said no to anything. I thin we spent about $500 but that included some of the alcohol for DH's party and $65 in gad for my van. But spending an entire day with my DD was truly priceless. She told her about this boy she's been talking to. I knew some of it cause my DH told me, but she had not told me, she told him. We had dinner and laughed. It was a turning point for us I think so I don't care what it cost. But it was a lot!

I would not worry too much about the money because it made for a fabulous day for you and your daughter.

Congratulations
