Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Hi all!!! 19 more days until we sail. Rob and I are really looking forward to getting on the ship. I'll be heading to the sun while Rob does his normal thing.... a piece of pizza and a beer! We'll be joining friends, Maria and Tom, who we met about 10 years ago....through a Disney Cruise. Can't wait to see them and make new friends. We'll also be on the 3/10 cruise

Hi everyone! Very behind on preparation this cruise, so sorry we missed the FE deadline. Obviously, we desperately need a getaway!

This will be our second Disney cruise, our first was the Med. 3 1/2 yrs. ago. Completely changed our view of cruising! it will be myself, DH, DSs 15, 12, and 9. Hoping they can make some friends as last time they had the clubs where their age groups were just right. The new ages in the club will split them all ( which the 15 yr old is thrilled about!).

We are also going with my parents and the DIL's. Any suggestions about Atlantis? Kids really want to go, but it's soooooo expensive. And to rent a room there is just as expensive, so that's out too. Is it worth it?

Hello fellow Dis'ers- when I looked today at my countdown on my reservation page I couldn't believe it said 17 days.. I swear it just said 30+ - I have lost two weeks somewhere-WHEW! I AM SOO EXCITED !! Much more than my DD who still thinks she isn't going to enjy herself- oh she of little faith- Its DISNEY !!! enoughth said.. OK, -
I have been going back n forth with whether or not to put this up on the board, but with the time crunch quickly approaching Im goin' for it.. I am a single mom traveling with a (on March 5) 13 yr old, and I really want to go to tea at Palo but she cant come - and I really dont want to go alone,so I am wondering if there is anyone out there that would like to go to tea with me?/ If so, just post back or send pm - I will go directly to the Palo reservations on board as soon as I get on which I am hoping will be pretty early since we are staying at Country Inn the night before .. If no one wants to I totally understand, but I thought "it never hurts to ask". Either way I am soo glad that I found this board/and all of this great info ! I'm sending my box of fish extenders stuff and can't waith to "meet" everyone on the 6th !!

I've been doing a lot of prep work for the vacation and have decided I needed a list of goals for the trip. So far this is what I've got:

1) I will not obsess over the possible inadequacies of the FE gifts I've chosen
2) I will not let my mother's comments about people accidentally falling overboard mar my trip.
3) I will enjoy all events possible while understanding that it is possible to book another cruise in the future. I don't HAVE to do everything this cruise.
4) I will not hog pool chairs
5) I will try new things and won't make the children miserable by making them try new things.
6) room service is my friend
