March 3rd, how long for rope drop FoP?

Hi,

As I thought, not much choice in FP possibilities 30 days out.

We are going to AK on a Tuesday, March 3rd. Crowd calendars indicate a 5 out of 10 crowd.

If we are there at 7:30 for a 9 AM opening, how long would the wait for FoP be? Would I be realistic to think that by 10:30 I might have both ridden it and Kilimanjaro safari?

Is there a special line I need to go to when we arrive at the park?

My experience with rope dropping FoP and getting there extra early to be in the front of the "pack" was that we were off the ride by about 15-20min after park open (last year during a spring break week.)

There isn't a special line. You go through security as normal, and then wait at the tapstiles. Historically they have started letting people through the tapstiles early and then hold everyone at the bridge by Tiffins until they "release" everyone that has lined up for Pandora. There have, however, been reports that they have started pushing the "release" time back closer to actual park open where a couple of years ago they were letting people into pandora 30+min before park open.
