Hey everyone!

Hope y'all had a merry Christmas! Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I've been taking care of my mother and we had guests for the holidays. They left today, so I can focus on the cruise again.

Love seeing all the activity on here! I need to read through the posts I've missed and get up to speed. I'll post again this evening after I've caught up.

Hello Everyone!

I am so very late to join this thread (I have not been my usual OCD planning-self). I am going to slowly read through this thread, but I just wanted to post to introduce ourselves.

We are me, DH, DS11, and DD8 and will be joining you on this WONDERful cruise. We gave this cruise to our children as their Christmas present. We are from Indiana and can't wait for some warm weather!

Hopefully, one of you has a friendly/outgoing child that can get my 6th grader to go to the kids club (he's a great child, but so very shy. I have a feeling he'll be hanging out with mom/day this trip)

Hopefully that works. Anyone with the link can edit the document. So you can add or change info on yourself. I do ask that if you do an edit, you RIGHT CLICK on the cell and hit INSERT COMMENT, that way I can see what was edited.

I've not heard back from Ivy yet on either the cut off date or number of cabins, but here is what I thought.

I propose a cut off date of Jan 31st. Right now we are at 18 cabins, which IMHO is about as many as we want in one group. We could even split it into 2 groups if we get more willing to sign up. This number is from replies in the thread and not just the ones that have voted in the poll. With having several small groups rather than one huge one, it gives a bit more felxibilaty. Some may be more comfortable with the small number, as it is less to pack and make. Others may love to make things and want to give things to all cabins, and that is still their option with the smaller groups.

Nothing is set in stone and I'd love to have other's feedback.

Jeff, this looks awesome. Thank you so much for heading up the exchange. I know you're traveling right now, but I replied to your PM. I'm on board with January 31 as a cutoff date.

I'm fine with 18, but more people might be willing to participate if their group is smaller. Just my 2 cents.

I was able to edit the doc. I added my mom's last name to our listing. Also, I added a link to the list in the OP.

Does this list include everyone who requested to be on the cruise roster or just the exchange participants? If it includes everyone, I will stop updating the roster.

Suzi - I have a DS11 who's a little on the shy side so maybe they can connect before the cruise. My sister, Dawg91 has a DD8, too. We have a FB group called "A WONDERful Spring Break" where we're talking about kid meet-ups, excursions, etc. If you want to join, just request and I'll add you. Is your DD11 into Minecraft or any other computer games?

Welcome to our cruise. What a great Christmas gift! On our cruise last year, my DS (who was 12) was reluctant to go into the club initially. After the first night, we couldn't tear him away. Hopefully your DS will have the same experience.

I know you have lots of posts to read, and there's certainly no rush. But if you'd like to join the FE exchange, you can add your name to the list. (The link is in the OP.)

We have cruised before and he went to the club but ONLY for a specific activity and ONLY with his little sister. This time I think he'll be old enough for the tween club (??) and so he can't be with little sis. I suggested that he go the first day because everyone will be new on the first day. And, if he just wants to hang out with us, well, I should be happy that he still wants to do that, right?

We didn't do the FE exchange the last cruise and don't know much about it. I need to do some research and get back with you. (I do know you all have a deadline and will respect that)

We just got back from out trip to Florida Saturday. We drove back in between the 2 storms that hit NW Ohio, and I-75 was clear and dry the whole way. I saw the weather that supposed to hit Sunday, and now I'm glad we headed back when we did.

Sorry to all that tried to edit the FEE Google doc. I see that I had the share option enabled, but only to VIEW. I changed it to EDIT now, and anyone can edit. I've asked Ivy to link that sheet in the OP.
Please let me know if anyone still has an issue in doing an edit.

I will let the DIS'ers that said they want to do a magnet exchange handle that. It looks to be a smaller group. Some of my FEE gifts will be magnets anyway.

Thanks Jeff -- I appreciate this! For some reason I can't edit this either, however it may have something to do with the fact that my google docs show up in German and I have no idea what I am doing in German

If someone could edit us our cabins, I would appreciate it. We are 7634 - my mom, Sue, is room 7636, but it will just be myself (Amy) and the kids (Alex and Tatiana) in the FEE.

If it gets past 18, I will be favor of splitting. We had over 30 in my last FEE and split into 3 groups - each about 10-11 families and that was PLENTY.
