Mark - your wife and I will get along VERY well! :lmao: You have NO idea how well Johnna and I will get along.... :rotfl2:

Stacy,

Now you are scaring me. The thought of TWO compulsive list-makers is pretty frightening to me. Maybe those of us who "go with the flow" will meet separately - or not meet at all. Just happen to bump into each other in the hallways as we meander around...

We should exchange packing lists - I just made mine the other day!! Surprisingly, it's only one page. But I wrote small! :cutie:

We're not into the whole pin-trading thing, but for those of you who are: the Disneystore.com has their "semi-annual pin sale" so you might want to check it out.

Happy Monday!!!

On the cruise I'm not SO bad, but get me in the parks and I'm awful. I have lists on which parks I'm going to on which day, what times the park opens/closes, parade/show times, and which attractions we are going to see that day so we don't miss/forget anything. :rotfl:
On the cruise the worst I do is carry my highlighter for the navigators. Our last cruise we even missed out on the "midnight" dessert buffet :sad2: I won't do THAT again!!! :)

I confess...I'm a lsit girl myself:rolleyes: Although I really don't have a very big list started, (yet:laughing: ) I do have quite a LARGE pile of stuff started in the corner of our bedroom...infact Ron just aked me this last weekend.."what's all the stuff???".... Just stuff for our trip:thumbsup2 (lots-n-lots of stuff:rotfl: )

Hope everyone is having a good Monday, or as good as a Monday can be;)

Brenda:)

add one more name to the list as a list maker! I am a highlighter as well....I think I would be lost without one...I am a teacher and I started highlighting in college and haven't stopped since!

Speaking of highlighting I saved and printed out all the lists of tips that one or two threads had...I think a total of 70 pages or so and went through with a highlighter with all the ideas I wanted to do, remember etc...It was well worth it....tips, lists and a highlighter and planning for a Disney Cruise...I couldn't be happier.

Mark and his friends called me "the Map Wench" at an amusement park some years back. But who gets the last laugh when we get to where we want to go and with everything we need??? Don't dare make fun of the Map Wench's lists.

I'm a teacher too! :teacher: What grade do you teach? I teach first grade...did 3 years of 5th grade, then the past 14 years in first grade.

I do all of the above...lists upon lists, highlighters...and now I've "graduated" to spreadsheets! I have one for planned activities for the week, one for evening apparel for each person in the family so that we are all "coordinated", and one for daytime apparel for each person in the family (not "coordinated"). Those will serve as my packing lists!

Now if I could just stop changing my mind about everything, we'd be set. I'm still undecided about St. Maarten because we're doing beach days in St. Thomas (Magen's Bay excursion) and Castaway Cay (beach and stingrays), and I don't know if we should do another beach day in St. Maarten. But everyone wants to jetski, so I thought maybe we'd just do those right there off the ship near the shopping area...take the water taxi...and go back to the ship for lunch and uncrowded pools in the afternoon. Or should we venture out and do something new...like the rhino riders or the butterfly farm. Or should we go ahead and make a whole beach day at Little Divi?Ugh...I thought I had this all figured out months ago!!!

This group is busy! I can't believe that we get on a plane in two weeks and a boat a few days later!

Lots to plan. A quick question: When is the Monday brunch?

Thanks,

Hart

Oh no, you have spreadsheets for evening and daytime apparel AND you're coordinated? Well, I know what we're wearing for formal and pirate nights but other than that... I guess I had better get busy. I do make packing lists but then I tend to bring everything, especially since this is our first cruise and I don't know exactly what to expect
Ladies, I am humbled by your superior planning and list making skills :worship:

Kim (mommykeg)- Are you doing Magen's Bay with Disney? We are hoping to go to Trunk Bay on our own but if we don't make it we're going to taxi to Magen's Bay beach.

Don't worry, those lists scare me too! I have ideas of things I'm bringing, but that's just it. Formal and Pirate Nights are set, that's it. Hopefully by 9:00pm on March 1st as my suitcase is going out the front door, I'll know!

We're coordinated at night, not in the daytime...I'm not THAT crazy! ;) I'm actually trying the spreadsheets this time because I WAY overpacked on our first cruise...we had 8 suitcases PLUS 4 carryons and 4 backpacks! :scared1: Thank goodness we didn't have to fly for that cruise! I had way too many daytime outfits because I planned a whole outfit for days we would be hanging by the pool. The outfits we did wear during the sea days could easily be worn again another day because we only wore them for a few hours...plus we bought some t-shirts on the ship that we wanted to wear. I brought home TONS of clothes that had never been touched. Soooo...my goal for this cruise is NOT to overpack!!! I'm shooting for no more than 4 suitcases and 2 carryons total....we'll see! Shoes are my biggest problem but I'm trying to pick outfits to minimize the need for too many different shoes.

Rebecca--We are doing Magen's Bay with DCL. We were kinda nervous about venturing to the other side of the island on our own, so we went ahead and booked with them...no way to miss the boat that way, right? :thumbsup2

I talked to the kids today and they definitely want to jetski in St. Maarten...so it's either Little Divi or Great Bay Beach for us. Neither one thought the Butterfly Farm sounded interesting...and they're not familiar with the rhino riders...but they both remember jetskiing in Cabo San Lucas fondly!

Sorry for the rambling...it's late and I think this planning mania (along with the report cards I'm trying to write and the 20 individual story books I'm publishing for my class on my computer in my free time :lmao: ) is starting to get to me!

Thanks Carolyn :flower3: , I feel much better now!

Has anyone in the US received their docs yet??? I'm starting to get nervous. Any idea when they should be coming?

How about upgrades? Any magical upgrades anyone? We are still hoping but if not, we are going to ask if we can pay for an upgrade at port (assuming we aren't sailing full).

Only 16 days left till we fly out to warm Orlando and get away from this terrible snow/ice we have going on now!

Stacy we have not received our Doc's yet either:confused3. No upgrade yet either:mad: . My mom and dad booked their cruise through D.V.C. and when they called on Monday they were told 2 weeks before the cruise. Are you guys still planning on Trunk Bay on your own? It looks like Rebecca (MrSanderz) is planning that also. We should all hook up at the meet and discuss this.
Everyone on the East coast getting ready for the big storm coming in tonight (Tuesday) into Wednesday? .

Talk at you all later..

Norm

OUR DOCS JUST CAME!!!!!!!! Mr UPS just delivered them! Or at least mine, Andrew's and Kathryn's are here. I'm guessing Alana's will show up at my Mom's house, since she is in the cabin with her.
WOO HOO!!!!:cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

LUCKY,LUCKY.... Congratulations:cheer2: :cool1:

Still waitng on ours..:hourglass

Congrats.

I am glad to hear people are getting theirs. Hopefully others will say the same soon. (Me included).

In the meantime we watch the snow pile up and count the days until we go South.

Hart

No docs here either :sad2: No upgrades either but we did get our cabin assignment. We booked a gty cat 6 and DCL gave us 6058. :cool1: We're right next door to mommykeg's family.
We booked through Costco so I'm assuming the docs are sent to them and Costco sends them to us.
Carolyn-Did you transfer your ressie to a TA or stay with DCL directly?

3 weeks from today I'll be sitting on Little Bay beach, basking in the warm sun with a tropical drink in my hand :cloud9:

Mom and Dad just received their Documents. I'm calling my TA who is AAA and find out what is going on.

Just spoke to Celeste my TA at AAA and she stated Disney sent out Documents on the 9th. So everyone should be hearing something very soon.

Talk at you all later...
