Ha !

No i will let alexis have that one since she was the closest without going over!

How was your weather for your cruise?

The weather was absolutely gorgeous, warm, no rain and calm seas. Water cold at first but got used to it. We did the Doubloon snorkel in St. Thomas and parasailed at Castaway. Cruise director said that it was the best weather in the last 8 weeks. Last Saturday when we left it was very cloudy and gray out, (matched our moods) but was thinking about the ones sailing out that day...very dreary!

I see you did a Cruise with no kids.

DO TELL!!!

Was it worth it?
How much did you enjoy it?
Would you do it again?
Would you suggest it for others?
Did you miss your kids?:rotfl2:

I am feeling a tad bit bad for not bringing the kids this time around.

BUT WE DO DESERVE A VACATION ON OUR OWN!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!!

:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

NEXT Valentines DAY we will be making our lists and checking them twice.

I am amped already about packing for only 2 people.

We might only have carry ons...:rotfl2:

We are just off the Magic (a week ago today):sad2:. I miss it so much already. This is the cruise we booked onboard as I wanted to cruise on the Magic again before it heads off to wherever it is going and celebrate my 40th birthday!

We will be bringing our kids who will be 21, 18 and 16 and my oldest daughter's boyfriend along with us. We are exicted and can not wait to plan our excursions. Any recommendations?

Tara

Hi!! So glad we're three now instead of two. Lynn and I (and our families) sailed together - and met for the first time - on the January 22 Western Caribbean. We had a blast!

We just did the on/off trolley in Key West. Next time, we will probably leave our daughter on board and do a little pub crawling - but we are NOT going to the Garden of Eden! Unless Lynn convinces us after a few Key Lime Margaritas.

Ha !

Listen, everyone can feel free to buy me a DOTD - I am an equal opportunity drink moocher! :lmao: Actually, I suppose I'm already down one for the whole "boat" comment, and we really should buy the newbie a drink to be friendly. So let's just call it even and start from scratch - and figure out ways to get all the newcomers to owe us each a drink. Ha!

 Happy Valentine's Day to you!

Pretty soon our tickers will be at less than one year! I just finally finished putting away all our FE stuff, and setting aside travel gear (over the door shoe holder, etc.) for next March.

On this last cruise, we didn't get off in Grand Cayman and had the ship pretty much to ourselves - it was awesome! Because our DD is only 5 at time of sailing, we won't be able to do many of the excursions. I am thinking of taking her to Stingray City, though, as I think she'd enjoy it. We will probably not book an excursion in Cozumel, we'll just get off and wander about. I speak fluent Spanish and am happy to play tourguide if we want to plan a group outing. I know you get nervous, Lynn, about non-Disney excursions, but I promise and cross my heart that I would never let you miss the boat...er, ship!

I think i could go for some shopping or what ever you want to do in Cozumel, If you want to do some shopping or something in the after noon like you did before....
:confused3

I was sad that i missed out on that.:upsidedow

For sure! That was fun and I was bummed I didn't have more time to spend at the port. We're going to skip Nachi Cocom this time. We'll probably do a day in Grand Cayman, then mostly stay on the ship until shopping in Cozumel. Tim and Lilia might even stay on the ship altogether in Mexico; having the Mickey slide pretty much all to herself on Grand Cayman day was probably the highlight of her cruise! Plus, I want her to be rested enough that she can actually enjoy the pirate party next time.

BUT WE DO DESERVE A VACATION ON OUR OWN!!!

We loved cruising by ourselves, I do have to admit I got teary eyed when we ate at Parrot Cay for our first lunch and there were many times we said I wish the kids we here..
But we did deserve that vacation and am sure we will do it again, Dh is really interested in Alaska.
Our first cruise the weather was not great...we actually did not dock at Grand Cayman, and pretty rough seas. So the cruise by ourselves, wouldn't you know the weather was wonderful so another reason I wished we had the kids along.

It was nice to relax, spend time together and not constantly reminding kids, time to get ready for dinner, you have to be up at this time for this excursion, etc...

Tara - What's up with your ticker? (Do I seem ticker obsessed??) Is my math wrong? I like your countdown better!

I am not sure I will try again, see if is says the same...very strange?:confused3

So you both were on the cruise right before mine? You were leaving the Magic as I was getting on. We staeyed at the CI&S the night before and were on the 10:00 shuttle over, and chance one of you stayed there and came back to the motel?

I must have done something wrong,:rolleyes1 as now it is the same as yours..I liked my old one better too!

Yes, we were getting off the ship as you were boarding! My family did not stay at CI&S; we were at the Doubletree down in Cocoa Beach. I'm not sure where Lynn and her peeps stayed, but they parked at the port so I think they got right on the road after disembarking.

For what it's worth, you don't hear much talk about the Doubletree on these boards, but I have mentioned to a few people how much we loved it. It might take five minutes longer to get to the port in the morning, but the hotel was great and the service was amazing! The best part was that since most of the cruisers were down at CI&S and the Radisson, we had the entire complex pretty much to ourselves. That's where we'll be staying again next March!

Boo to the new date! :sad2: Luckily, it won't be long until we're back at <1 year. Yahoo!

Not sure where we will be staying. My DH really liked staying at the Hyatt when we went by ourselves, as we booked our air through Disney. Our hotel and transportation was covered, even though it was really easy, no hassle with transportation to the port etc. We even checked in to the cruise downstairs in the airport (boarding pass 4). I like being as close to the port as possible, waking up trying to catch a glimpse of the Magic!

Did the Doubletree have a shuttle to the port in the morning?

Today seems to be a day where I am really missing our cruise and can not wait to be back... Maybe it has something to do with my first full week back at work?:sad2:

I almost always miss not being on the ship.
I wish there was a job i could do from my stateroom.

Maybe i should become a GREAT SELLING AUTHOR!

And write all my books on he disney magic!

Hey alexis....
Mike said he should text Tim and say

Hi Tim...
How are you?
I miss you. Want to get a beer?

He absolutely SHOULD text Tim and say that!! And Tim will respond, "Yeah, dude, let's do it. Bring my DCL mug, yo!" :rotfl:

I'm getting a new ticker that says "One year, two weeks, blah, blah, blah until I get to see Lynn and Mike!!" Seriously.

So what's new? Mom made it back home safe and sound, I presume? How are the kids? Is Joe officially all grown up yet, or is 18 still a few days away?

Doubletree does have a shuttle. It's $5 per person, each way. I can see what you mean about wanting to see the ship when you wake up, that would be cool. I will be camped out at the entry gate to the port, waiting for it to dock at the pre-crack of dawn...that's how anxious I am to get back on!

Are we going to be the first ones at the door this time Alexis....
Now that i know the scoop on that DARN NEW parking lot. UGH!
:cheer2:

Yes mom is gone and today is my first OFFICIAL DAY OFF SINCE the CRUISE.....So my plan is to clean for about 10 hours and then sit down and clean my shells i got on Captiva.

Joes BDAy is the 26th so not to much longer:scared1::scared1:

Dont forget we are at least stopping by to see you guys in JULY!!:hippie:
And we were thinking that our spring motorcycle trip could be to your house too.

Yes, we are going to be FIRST! There will be no upgrade theivery on this thread, thank you very much! (I wonder - do we sound a little obsessed? Worry not, fellow cruisers...er, cruiser... we aren't obsessed, just excited!) Well, you're obsessed. With me! Which is why you're planning to visit me 100 times. Which, by the way, is an AWESOME idea!

Talk about stalking - I am a total nerd. I had been following the TR for one of the girls who did the Halloween cruise we were supposed to be on. I noticed that she and some of the other subbers have a "DIS Moms" logo in their signature line. So I send her a PM and I'm all, "Is there a DIS Moms group? Because I'd love to join something like that." And she responds that no, they're just a group of friends who travel together and one of them made them the tag. She was so sweet, but I felt like a complete STALKER!
