Michael and I are going on the members cruise in September. I just got an email from DVC...they finally listened to all the complaints about SSMC shirts. DVC is selling SSMC tshirts. I ordered 2 and the note came back and said you will find your shirts in your stateroom on the evening of Sept. 18th. Here is a photo:

Wow, these are really nice! I have only been on one SSMC in 2008, so what were all the complaints about? Did they run out?

Talking to people...the major complaint was long lines and limited merchandise.

2008 members cruise I bought a light blue tshirt...2009 members cruise Michael bought a real nice windbreaker....2010...no merchandise available that I know of.

Nice - they're finally getting it!

We had a problem on the West Coast Repo as well. All of the t-shirts were gone within the first 2 hours the gift shop was open! People went crazy! They also announced that they had 1000 limited edition pins and would be giving out bracelets, starting at 9 AM, to the 1st 500 people in line. There were people who camped out, but it turns out we wandered by later in the day and they still had bracelets! I guess their strategy backfired and people were so angry that they decided not to wait in line.

The story had a happy ending, because the crew complained to DCL and they somehow managed to get a whole bunch of t-shirts delivered to the ship by the time we left San Francisco.

I heard real horror stories about the maiden voyage of the Dream. They said people were emptying/buying entire shelves worth of maiden voyage stuff to sell on Ebay I guess. It just seems so stupid - it makes a lot more sense to let people pre-order Glad DVC at least got it.

I got one of the blue t-shirts and a windbreaker (I keep it in the Owners Locker ) on the SSMC 08 cruise.

That is so cool Monika! I just wore my 2007 Members Cruise polo yesterday. I just love that shirt. Wear it quite often to work. I know we were dissappointed in the merchandise the last two years we were on the member cruise. So, it is nice to see the shirts for this year already.

I will say that I am missing not going on this year's cruise. Since we have done three of them, this year just seems funny that we are not going. Hope you have a great time this year and please think of us while you have lunch out at Serenity Bay.

Thanks! We're in Pittsburgh for the night on a park and fly deal. We leave for Seattle at 11:30 A.M. tomorrow to visit friends before taking an Amtrak train ride to Vancouver on Monday. We'll probably post again Monday night.

Yes Chris it sure it hot. I bet you are just loving the pool. At work it does not get below 80. So it is hot inside. But that is becuse of the ovens in the back and all the windows. But I am home now so I am happy.

Well, I am on my little back up netbook, those of you that are on face book may have seen that my laptop got a virus , it is one of those, that tries to scare you into purchasing software. it is called Micrsoft antivirus 2012. So now I am waiting for my son to come fix my computer

I would try and do it myself, but he wants to do it. I have been waiting about a week now. A busy, so far now i guess I will keep using the netbook.
