Good Morning everyone. I just want to say how much fun I had on Saturday morning with you all.:dance3: Watching the Disney Dream come out on the water for the first time was amazing & I'm glad I didn't miss it. You all made it much more memorable too! Can't wait to sail on it with you all. :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

Hi Sharon! I didn't get a chance to say "welcome" when you first posted so I'll say it now - Welcome Aboard! This is a great group of people and I'm sure you'll get to know us real soon. Glad to have you along. I see that you'll be on the Alaska Cruise with Dave and Gary, and their families. Wish I was going but . . . :confused3

Nice to have you here. We have a lot of fun especially on special days or sailaways! Get ready to have a blast!

Afternoon everyone!

Just want to say hi.

Lisa - I am the wors one for suprises. I look for everything. The time I did not find what I was getting for Christmas it was under my bed at home. My mom loved it. Even now. Danny and Steven tape it to the inside of a box so I when I shake it it does not move. BUt I am still excited to get it.:)

Good Afternoon Cruisin' Buddies!

I was a little busy this morning so I didn't get a chance to pop in and say hi. It's been a nice day here in Jersey but rather chilly!

Glad Halloween is over - not my favorite holiday. So pumpkins down, and turkeys up!

Chris - where in Iowa are you (it's a geography quiz)!!

By the way, Lisa, I love surprises! And don't get that mixed up with being shocked or surprised to get reactions - I hate being startled. :rotfl:

Lisa,

I love to be surprised and do not ever go looking or even want to know what is inside until it is time to be opened.

Do you like to read "Surprise" stories? If so I could post here the surprise DH & I did on surprising our boys with their first cruise a Disney Cruise in 2006 when the twins were turning 14 & other ds was 12. I call it "Just how far can we go?" By the way this was Allen's & my first Disney cruise too!

We booked the cruise Nov. 2004 & the cruise was Oct. 2006 - almost 2 yrs later. Anyone want to guess either how we broke the news to them or how long before the cruise did we finally tell them.

If you already know the story please don't guess. This could be fun. :goodvibes

I guess they found out as you unloaded at the Port!

Sharon - I'd love to hear the story.

My guess is you did a scavenger hunt maybe the summer of the trip at the beach.

I promise to post the story, but I want to hear more guesses before I do. :rotfl:

Mary, Your answer sounds like alot fun, but we didn't do that.

Dave, the boys were thinking that something was up when we were unloading at the port, but they just thought maybe we were cooking up some birthday surprise for them. :lmao:

Maybe when they had to attend the special safety event with the life jackets????

I know that may seem too far into it for them to know but I got my kids thru airport security and to the gate to surprise their grandparents. We sat there chatting and all the time they thought we were just bringing their grandparents luggage they forgot. :lmao:

Grandparents were surprised when we showed up. Kids were surprised when I asked DS to get something for me out of my pocketbook. He opened a packet and the top ticket was his. I asked him to read it to me while I acted like I was going to write something down based on the details he gave me.

He was confused when he read it. :lmao:

Hi Lisa. That's a good one but I'm afraid that we weren't thaaaat good. Alright you guys, you're really good, you've defiintely narrowed it down.

OK somewhere between arriving at the Port/dropping off luggage & The Life Jacket drill is when we let our boys in on it that we were going on the cruise.

:surfweb:Just a few more guesses & I'll spill the story. ;)

My guess is when you walked on to the ship and they welcomed you! :goodvibes

Chris, you're definitely getting warmer!!!! Believe it or not we actually did step onto the Disney Magic & the boys still did not know we were actually going on the cruise. And these boys weren't little kids either. The twins turned 14 the next day & the younger one would be 13 in a few months.:rotfl2: They really did get a "kick" out of our name being announced as we came aboard.
:surfweb:OK - just one more guess & I'll post the story. :thumbsup2

By the way the our youngest son (Jameson) will be on this cruise with us - at least if he keeps his grades up. This cruise is supposed to be his High School Graduation gift. He graduates in May 2012 & he'll be 18 when we sail on March 22.

Great - thanks Monika. That covers all the big things but I'm sure we'll come up with some other fun things as well. As you said we have over 500 days to plan!

Ahhh...thanks. I really haven't done that much. As you can see everyone is chipping in. That's what is going to make it even better.

Who all is sailing on the Dream before our cruise? I know Monika and Michael. Anyone else? We're counting on you to come back and give us all the hints on the ship. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. :)

Hi everyone!! Wow, I'm off for a few days, and theres so many pages out here! My husband Ryan and I are going on the Dream Feb 13-17... for our five year anniversary! I can hardly wait!! I'll be sure to update you guys with all of the details and pictures that I can!!

:lmao::lmao:

I laugh because my 25 year reunion is this year while we are at WDW.

Well, we are close in age Lisa. My class celebrated our 25th this past July.

I am so glad you stopped at the 30!! This year will be our 30th Reunion! Ok, is that for real, Pocohontas never had a baby? How could I ever forget that??? I have seen the movie a hundred times, I guess old age is setting in :rolleyes:

Dave - now how could you forget that. I guess after 30 years of being out of school, things get a little foggy. :rotfl2:

Sharon - I had a great time on Saturday too. I was telling them about it at work today and they all look at me like I'm crazy. I don't know why I share with them. Guess cuz I'm so darned excited. At least we all have each other to share in the excitement. ;)[/SIZE]
Chris - where in Iowa are you (it's a geography quiz)!!

Sue - We are in Central Iowa. Practically right in the middle of the State.

Hi Lisa, I undersyand what you are saying about the christmas presents. I have an older brother. whom thought it would be fun to show me my christmas present. He took me into my parents bedroom and behind the headboard was some bed covers thrown over some stuff. He pulled back the covers to reveal a Kitchen set made of cardboard, that my mother was putting together for me while I was sleeping, It was a complete set, refridgerator, sink- that you could really pump water, stove and the little burners lit up, I think there was another piece or two, she even saved TV dinner boxes, etc. to fill my kitchen with. She worked so hard on it for me, I got a lot of years out of it. and then passed to to some kids I baby sat for.

They don't make cardboard things like that anymore.:goodvibes

My brother would also open his presents under the tree and tape them back up, I to this day, don;t want to know until its really time, I love suprises.
