Good morning everyone - happy Friday!

Dianne - the candy canes you are talking about happen at Disneyland. I looked into it after watching the show and found you need to get in line right when you get in the park and wait a couple of hours for tickets and as I think Chris said they only make 100. While I would love when we are are out there I don't see taking the time for it. One of those things that make seem much easier on TV than in real life. :)

If you want a family treat from WDW why not go to the Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. You can get everything from a full house to room shingles. Or go over to SSR and see if they sell the peppermint pigs with the little hammers. That is supposed to be a tradition as well. You break up the pig and everyone gets some. I think they game them out at Member Homecoming when SSR first opened.

Chris - good news on getting some more people hired. We have been trying to get a temp in and keep getting ones that don't last.

TGIF - everyone have a great day!

Darn!! Our school's calendar for next year 2011/2012 just came out & Spring Break is not the 3rd week in March as it was this year but the 4th week instead. Since we're bringing our son Jameson who will be a Senior then we need to change our cruise to March 27th so he doesn't miss any school.

This was a great thread, although sometimes hard to keep up with lol. :rotfl: I checked for the March 27th 2012 thread and there wasn't one. Although I was hesitant to - I went ahead & started one. Does anyone here want to do a B2B? I'm feelin' pretty lonely now. :sad2: At least Allen & I will still be sailing with Dave, Gary & Gail on the Alaskan cruise in July. I know you all are going to have a fabulous time on this cruise :goodvibes How could you not? Just remember that I'll be thinking of you all on Tuesday March 27, 2012 as I arrive at the Port.

Mary, we have been there for Christmas before, and your right I would not waste my time standing around to get a ticket to get a big candy cane.

and we did visit the Gingerbread house it was great. But we stayed at SSR and never saw those pigs, sounds like a lot of fun, was it chocolate are what?

I guess I can blame it all on Gary, after all "It's All Gary's Fault! :lmao::

Sharon, sorry to hear you will not be joining us after all. And sad to say I can not join you on a B2B.:sad2:

Sorry to hear you won't be joining us. I'm sure you'll have a great cruise. No B2B for us I'm afraid.

Dianne - the pigs are made out of pink peppermint and you break them with a little hammer and share. Here is a picture I found online:

Not sure if they have them at SSR or not but I thought they did at holiday time.

Dianne/Mary I will look next week when I am at SSR>

Mary - We leave on Wed in the AM. When do you leave?

You are so right welcome to winter. We have been very lucky here so far this season.

:surfweb:

Sharon - sorry to hear you won't be able to join us on the cruise. But you will have a great time on the one you now have booked!

Flo - I don't blame you for not sleeping. It is getting too close now. :thumbsup2 Those little pigs that Mary showed the picture of are cute. What fun to break it up with the hammer.

And we lucked out and the snow missed us. For this time at least. Only up in the north/northeast corner of the state were not so lucky and got the snow.

This morning we got all the presents we have purchased so far wrapped and under the tree. DH has really got Christmas under control this year. He is the one that has done most of the shopping so far - cuz he is doing it online - and that is making life easier than trying to hit the crazy malls and Wal-Marts and stuff. He has been lucky to find some things that the girls wanted and we hadn't been able to find anywhere else. So I know they are going to be excited about those things. I think we are going to go shopping tomorrow though.

Well, have a great Saturday afternoon. :santa:

Good Morning all!! I should say this afternoon.

Mary thanks for the pic of the pig, it looks so cute.. now that I see it, it does look familar, I guess I did not realize what it was. I am going to have to look closer at things, so I don't miss out.

Love WDW at Christmas!!!:cool1:

Flo, I will be with you in spirt...Have a really wondeful time, I think If i hurry I can get in one of your suitcases before you leave:rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

Well this morning I went for my morning excercise, then off to pick out the christmas tree, DH picked one 8 1/2 feet tall with bigh heavy branches.

If you really knew Michael you would understand what I am saying :dance3::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl:
