Good morning everyone - happy Friday!
Dianne - the candy canes you are talking about happen at Disneyland. I looked into it after watching the show and found you need to get in line right when you get in the park and wait a couple of hours for tickets and as I think Chris said they only make 100. While I would love when we are are out there I don't see taking the time for it. One of those things that make seem much easier on TV than in real life.
If you want a family treat from WDW why not go to the Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. You can get everything from a full house to room shingles. Or go over to SSR and see if they sell the peppermint pigs with the little hammers. That is supposed to be a tradition as well. You break up the pig and everyone gets some. I think they game them out at Member Homecoming when SSR first opened.
Chris - good news on getting some more people hired. We have been trying to get a temp in and keep getting ones that don't last.
TGIF - everyone have a great day!
I guess I can blame it all on Gary, after all "It's All Gary's Fault!:
Darn!! Our school's calendar for next year 2011/2012 just came out & Spring Break is not the 3rd week in March as it was this year but the 4th week instead. Since we're bringing our son Jameson who will be a Senior then we need to change our cruise to March 27th so he doesn't miss any school.
This was a great thread, although sometimes hard to keep up with lol.I checked for the March 27th 2012 thread and there wasn't one. Although I was hesitant to - I went ahead & started one. Does anyone here want to do a B2B? I'm feelin' pretty lonely now.
At least Allen & I will still be sailing with Dave, Gary & Gail on the Alaskan cruise in July. I know you all are going to have a fabulous time on this cruise
How could you not? Just remember that I'll be thinking of you all on Tuesday March 27, 2012 as I arrive at the Port.

Mary, we have been there for Christmas before, and your right I would not waste my time standing around to get a ticket to get a big candy cane.
and we did visit the Gingerbread house it was great. But we stayed at SSR and never saw those pigs, sounds like a lot of fun, was it chocolate are what?
Sharon, sorry to hear you will not be joining us after all. And sad to say I can not join you on a B2B.![]()

Good morning everyone - happy Saturday!
Sorry to hear you won't be joining us. I'm sure you'll have a great cruise. No B2B for us I'm afraid.
Dianne - the pigs are made out of pink peppermint and you break them with a little hammer and share. Here is a picture I found online:

Not sure if they have them at SSR or not but I thought they did at holiday time.
Welcome to winter! So when do you leave?
