Hopefully, ours will go down in the next week. I'm checking a few times a day! :)

You're still pretty far out...about a month. Hopefully, you'll do better, but you have at least three things working against you:
- Minivans sometimes don't show the typical decrease a couple weeks out. They tend to be in demand. Keep your eyes out for SUV's of varying sizes also.
- By 4/2, you're well into the pre-Easter week madhouse. Demand that week is almost as heavy as Christmas.
- The MCO to TPA one-way could be hurting you. Although there are usually no specific drop charges within Florida, sometimes the one-ways don't see the discounts (and sometimes they do, its hard to figure)

Keep the $425 for now...but try to be flexible with the vehicle class and keep an eye out for specials. I know I've seen mid-SUV specials in March's past.

RUN DON'T WALK.... i AM IN SHOCK. I got a rate of 115.42 a week. I booked for ten days and the total with all fees and expenses is $238.66. It is for a minivan from Dollar. For the week of March 6th

Has anyone rented a car from the B hotel (Enterprise) at Lake Buena Vista. I received a very good rate (COSTCO) and we are staying at SSR. Concerned because it is a smaller rental car location although Enterprise assured me that it would be fine and that they would have the car that was reserved??!!:car:
Anyone use them and know how far it is from SSR?

Thanks in advance! :-)

That's great. 5 days alter the rate is 569.00

So sorry, tried for 3/11 and prices are super high. You got a great rate!

oh, it was supposed to say after. I didn't know. Anyway, I was shocked because I was getting the same high rates until tonight. Maybe within the next few days you will have the same luck. FYI: It was under city specials. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

That's great...It's looking more and more like the sweet spot is about 7-10 days prior to rental. I'd still start looking about 3 weeks out, but once you get close to that week mark, keep banging on those websites. They can change fast.

Anyone seeing any movement now that we're into March? I keep trying at different times throughout the day and haven't found any stellar deals.

The B resort is about a 10 minute walk from DTD. We have rented from Dollar at the Wyndham close to the B resort and usually I rent the economy car because they never have them in stock so the upgrade me for free to a midsize. I have also rented from Avis a the Hilton across from DTD and had good luck.

The rates still seem high. We leave on March 11 and I have a full sized car for $322 for 12 days but I was hoping for a bit lower. Maybe in the next few days...I'll be watching closely!

We got here yesterday and the only drop I saw was about a month out, rates went up after they and never came back down, not even the week before.

Eight days out and prices seem to have doubled in the last few days! More so today -- especially on Dollar! The best I have was booked in July with Costco but my flight times have changed since. I have been checking every month since & daily for the last month! I just don't think there is a sweet spot for renting in March & the lack of posts on this thread seems to prove the point. Fingers crossed for a last-minute reduction! :(

I agree! I checked again this morning and the rates are at least $200 more than yesterday. :(

I'm starting to think a better deal isn't going to happen. :sad2: I've still got $395 for 12 days in an intermediate at Budget. I've been checking every day but... no improvement.

My original reservation that I booked back in September for March 9th to 21st, pick up drop off in Tampa in a Standard car from Alamo, at $269.00 taxes and everything has never came down once. I am glad I got what I did!

In October I booked a standard with Dollar for 10 days, $192 all in. I had hoped I might find something with a better price or free additional driver, but I may have to be happy with what we've got. I've never paid this much for a March rental. Then again, I've never paid as much as we did for airfare. Disney is getting spendy! LOL

I'm really surprised that rates have stayed high. I've never paid more than $100 for a 1 week rental and that was even during March. I'm at $145 all in for a compact with Alamo but I'm not thrilled at all because I've got to add another 30% for the exchange on the dollar. I've got a week left to hunt around so hopefully I find something.....I'd even take a $20 reduction at this point.

It seems like there are no codes or coupons out there either. I always have a long list of codes and coupons to play with but right now I've only got a couple and they don't change the rates much. Some don't work at all.
