March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

It's supposed to be 80 here today. Just wanted to rub it in.

Too funny, Dave!! I cannot wait for them to rub it in this summer when we are sweltering in 120 degree sunshine and they are in the 80's!! I will have to say that I would take the 120 dry heat any day over 80 with 90% humidity!!

We would love to have you!! Don't get me wrong it is HOT here in the summer, but we can get out of it by going in the shade. My experience in humid places is that you cannot get away because the humidity follows you right into the shade!!

You are so right. On days when there is a lot of humidity....you sweat just walking out the door. We HATE it. But, dh has a good job and my parents live three doors down so we are stuck here for now. Would love to move somewhere else in the future!!!

So my DD who's seven just had the best phone call ever....Princess Ariel just called her. She couldnt' believe Ariel knew she was going on the MR cruise. Since the call that's all she can talk about after she hung up she even had to call her granny and tell her, one word describes it EXCITED. I tell you 25 days and she's is more and more excited. I wonder how she will react when Mickey calls in two weeks. I love this boat and I haven't even gotten on it.

Also back in Dec I thought I saw that this group might meet up at DisneyLand on Sat at Pirates of the Carribbean. Did that evey materialize?

Hi everyone!

I figured I should hop on this discussion now, since we're under 30 days before departure. YAY!! This thread has been so informative- thanks to all the contributors.

We are a family of 4 (Me, DH, DD-age 6, DS- age 4), heading to LA for our second DCL cruise and our fifth cruise total. The grandparents are joining us for their 1st Disney cruise. We're "Mickey Cruisers" because after our first Disney cruise last March, my son (3 at the time) talked non-stop about "Mickey's cruise" ...until July!

Bought some pirate gear and St. Paddy's day stuff at a party store last night-the kids are getting so excited (although still not excited as mom!).

Looking forward to escaping the snow and cold!

I wanted to go to the park before the cruise but I didn't renew my annual pass this year. I figured with the cruise and a Disney World trip this year I would only visit Disneyland once or twice, not worth the inflated price to buy an annual. I'm kinda regretting it now but oh well

with a sign "Los Veranos Canopy" waiting for your group. Our transportation
will be departing at 11:00am heading to the canopy site for your adventure
to begin. It will drop you back off at the cruise ship terminal.

Maybe we should confirm all participants from our cruise, and meet before we head out. That way no one gets left behind.
So far I have:

Our friends....Ken: party of 4
Misty: party of 4 ( plus friends...party of 4 and 2)
Meredith: party of 4

Any one else?

That sounds about right from when we started planning this. I have seen a few more posts of newer folks on the meet board mention that they were going to do Los Veranos. But, they were not within this group planning to meet.

I am all for meeting up before leaving the ship and trying to get a tender together. We will have plenty of time since it is not first thing in the morning. Could they also put "Sonya's Group" on the sign?
