March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

I do!! I like reading the things they say. They aren't as quick to respond to a question as the DIS boards are!!!
I hear you! It dang sure ain't the Dis!! I joined CC to get on a thread for a Princess Panama Canal cruise and they were a bunch of snobs!! :snooty: Must have been a clique because I went to the sail away get together and was basically ignored.

Having sailed with Carnival a few times, I watched with interest. It seems they handled it well. In my experience Carnival does a good job with customer service so I was not surprised.

Wow, how awful!

We were on the Feb Magic sailing this year that was stuck at Castaway Cay. I thought we had it bad!!! Nothing compared to what they are going through.
Disney handled everything so well (IMHO). Only thing that was messed up for us was our flight home, but Jet Blue took care of it, no charge. We were treated so well on the ship. I really feel for those people. No power or toilets!
Yikes! I can't imagine ....
What happened to strand you @ CC?? Haven't heard about that!

I have been looking over a few Carnival & RCCL threads on Cruise Critic and I have not found any discussions about security issues for the Mexican Riviera cruises. :confused3

Here is one of the threads:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2397543&highlight=stuck+at+castaway+cay+feb+13

It was stuck due to a storm, and couldn't get out.And it did some damage to
the Magic from what I heard. We had free "tastings" and an extra show in the Theater. I felt bad for those whose cruise was delayed, although I heard they got an extra night in Disneyworld ( not the same as on the boat!).

And here is someones You tube video ( they did a good job!)

and another one:

I'm sorry if this has already been asked before but was wondering if anyone knows which nights are formal and semi-formal?

Big Red

Are you going to split the Fish Extender List? I'm getting things together and want to know if I need approx. 15 or 30???

Had to go looking for it, but I found it!! I also added it to the bottom of the list!

This may have been posted already, but I confirmed with Disney:

Night 2: Formal Night
Night 6: Semi Formal (Cabo day)
Night 4: Pirate Night (Puerto Vallarta day)

Cabo tenders, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan docks.

Also, I have saved some 2008 Navigators that I found for this itinerary (although the itnerary is reversed). If anyone wants access, PM me...they are in my private site but I built a whole big section on this intinerary, so feel free to PM me and I'll give you the link and the password. Lots of shore excursion information too, not through Disney.

Have a great week everyone!! Since I don't get to go to DL before or after we cruise.....I am going to DW TODAY  We are driving down. We are leaving this afternoon and driving part way. We are staying at POP and should arrive there by 11 AM Thursday!!

Denise...should I be bad and send you pics to your phone????

Finally bought airline tickets!!
Never did get the good sale I was hoping for but we got the prices to a reasonable amount I guess. The good old days of airfare seem like a distant memmory now! :(

But that is one more hurdle to jump as we close in. Now time to get ready to pay the final bill!

It will be interesting to see how many staterooms become available after the PIF date. It was a sold out cruise a while back.

I think a lot of people will cancel in the next few weeks (JMO). I noticed quite a few catagories are already available.

I was just thinking this very same thing too. Counting down the days. I REALLY want to upgrade at the port. Pixie dust to get a good deal. But if I stay in my same room as I am now, I will still be thrilled. We got an awesome deal for Me, DH and my 2 kids. But perhaps people will start to reconsider if the PIF day is just 4 weeks away.

We're reconsidering. We were counting on using airline miles for our air travel and just realized that AMEX is no longer transferring miles to the airlines that we usually use. We don't have enough miles to fly another airline. We can't afford the additional $2k it would cost to fly with cash, so it looks like we may be cancelling.

One thing I don't know - is it possible to get a lower category room with the kids sail free deal still? We have a category 6 booked, but wondering if we could get a cat 10 and save some money (and maybe still make the trip possible).

Hope you get it worked out!! pixiedust:

I said similar things to DH. Because the final payment is due a couple of weeks before Christmas, it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of staterooms open up in a few weeks. Thankfully, our cruise is PIF so our stateroom won't be opening up, unless, of course, DCL touches us with a bit of Pixie and we get an upgrade. :wizard: That would be nice, we've never stayed in a verandah before. :lovestruc

Denise,

Did you find out about this? I started with some ideas but I want to make a great FE gift, and this will be the deciding factor as to what the gifts will be. I dont call myself Martha Stewart, but I can hold my own. :lmao:

I haven't heard yet ~

Revrob! YES!! I just switched our 10C for an 11B (4 in the room) about 2 weeks ago..saved me $200..I had a problem switching it online b/c it would show the room was available at the KFO but when I went to confirm it kept showing the higher price, I called into Disney and they switched the rooms for us, at where we were both rooms were 5 floors apart, so having two 11B's I hope to atleast be on the same floor! :)

Yes! The Fish Extenders will be split...unless for some unknown reason our numbers drop to below 20...but as long as there are 20+ participating it should be easy to split! :) We'll announce the splits after the PIF date and give out room numbers about 30 days ahead, only because there may be quite a few that jump in those last days...
Thanks!!
Tara
