March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

We are staying at Crowne Plaza also. Just got off the phone with them and was told that there is a free shuttle to the port available for all registered guests. Hopefully we don't find out otherwise when we get there.

Also was told the shuttle was free to the port if you are staying there no matter how you booked.

So can someone tell me about the fish extender thing? What is this all about?
It is my husband and I, DD12, DD7.

Does the Disney wonder have a webcam we can see? Maybe the port of Los Angelos does. I always love seeing the ship sail into and out of port.

This will be my 8th cruise! My dear friend convinced me we had to try Disney! I have been on most of the major lines and so far our favorite is NCL. Tell me some of your favorite things about Disney!

Currently the family is sick with colds and we need things to cheer us up!

Ok I must be the night owl on here. I can't post during the day because I am a teacher.

any recommendations between Universal studios and Knots Berry Farm?

It really depends on what you want to do. Universal is geared 100% toward movies, and giving you the backstage tour feeling.

Knotts is a true amusement park with lots of rides. They are a western themed park. That's actually my favorite park. Lots of childhood memories there.

So it really depends on what you are looking for. Roller coasters? or Backstage looks at props and movies and such. Universal is great, but it's a different theme than Knotts.

Thanks for the quick reply. It may come down to the price. I remember as a kid eating at the chicken restaurant at Knotts. Yummy biscuits and jelly!

Anyone else having a hard time concentrating on work? I'm already too excited.

How far away is the farmers market from San Pedro? I would love to go there. I went there as a little kid. It was by some tv studio.

Is anyone planning on doing a zipline excursion on your own in Puerto Vallarta?
If so, which tour company are you using? We cannot do it through Disney because my son will only be 9 and the minimum age is 10 on the ship.

I really need to start booking hotel rooms and rental car. I think we are planning on heading down toward San Diego to see some family and try Legoland. I would like to go to Knotts but do not think we will have time. I remember it as a kid but do not remember eating chicken but a yummy pineapple and marshmallow cream dessert. Funny how we always seem to remember food. :goodvibes

My sister just got back from Legoland and had to tear my nephew away. She said it was so much fun!

So odd.. it seems I get so many different answers.. if you don't mind..how much did you get the room for? I was told to use the shuttle/parking you have to book direct to them, not on one of the other websites..

Booked through Priceline for $65. When I called the hotel I didn't ask about parking but was told the shuttle was free to all registered guests, didn't matter how you booked or what you paid.

Great news! The Edge...(Tween club) is up and running now on the Wonder!

Someone on the Wonder right now reported back to let us all know!

Awesome!!! I'm kicking myself now for bidding $90... but that was 1/2 of the hotels.com rate, so I'm still happy:thumbsup2

We're going to Disneyland too. We've always gone to Disney World so I don't have a clue what to see and where to eat. Can anyone help me with this?

How old are your kids? Are you going to Disneyland for just one day? What is your favorite thing about Disney World? Knowing some of these things will help me make suggestions on what you shouldn't miss at Disneyland!!

We arrive early when they open and spend all day at Knotts. My DS(9) is finally tall enough to ride the roller coasters, and he won't let us miss one of them.

We go out of the park, pick up Mrs Knotts Big Bucket-o-Chicken for lunch, and take it back into the park and eat. Just remember to get your hand stamped for re-entry.

Wish we could make it.

I recommend the BBQ at Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. It's located behind the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and it's a sit-down family style restaurant.

They bring out buckets of ribs, chicken, beans and the fixin's. You won't walk away hungry. That's our new favorite eatery at Disneyland.

FYI, I have an updated list to send out but I'm not quite finished...swamped this week. I'll get it out soon...

I have not been on here in ages between work and the Holidays. There will be four of us on the cruise (DW, DD12 and DD5). We are looking forward to it.

A couple of questions: (1) what time will the ship be boarding on March 13th?; and (2) where can I find information on the Edge (tween club). Thanks.
