March 13, 2011 - DREAM

I ordered my FE yesterday. I am working on my gifts now. Haven't completely figured it out yet. Will soon, though.

I can't believe how close the cruise is. We will be leaving before we know it! Hopefully I will be ready. So far, not so much!

I have something each weekend before then. Hope everyone is getting beautiful weather like we have had the past few days. It is absolutely gorgeous here! ...Spring is great, if only it would last a little longer.

Remy reservations has opened up for our cruise date as of 5:30PM

I'mWong - So with you on your post! Trying to figure out the FE gifts for the wide array of ages on our list.....inbetween soccer (both kids), basketball (Zach), and scouts (both kids). Oh, and a FT job too :lmao: One of these days, I swear someone will nominate me for SuperMom :thumbsup2 JK! And yes, weather is beautiful, but a little too warm all of a sudden after the cold temps we had here 2 weeks ago. Last nite on the news, they said within one week, we had a swing of 50 deg in our high temps. And yes, now we're all

Jenerra11 - You are a woman on a mission with those Remy reservations..love it!!! Hope you were able to get what you wanted!

Can't wait to meet all of you :cool1: I will be posting more details about delivery dates for the FE, DISMeet time/location, etc. To those of you that asked, we are booked on the Atlantis Aquaventure thru DCL b/c I have not found a cheap room with Comfort Inn/Suites. I am thinking of cancelling though (thinking the water will be too cold and we could put the $$ towards a separate Atlantis vacation next summer) and hanging out with everyone else on the ship.....will probably decide last minute.

Ok, off to a hot bath to feel better.....goodnite!

I didn't book Remy. I was searching for an opening at Palo. Remy is 75.00 per person(not including the tip) I figure we could use that money elsewhere.

Ahhh - I remember you mentioning dining reservations and thought Remy - my bad ;) Good luck on Palo - forgot how $ Remy is, wow!

So about Atlantis ... I understand if I rent rooms at Comfort Suites you get passes to Atlantis. We have 5 people (my mom & stepdad are not interested in the waterpark) so we would need 2 rooms. Should I get 2 rooms- or 1 room and just buy 1 pass? The room is about $260 and passes are $170 each (I think). Or is there someone here who would possibly want to share the 2nd room? You can have the room-since we would have the other - just need 1 of the wristbands.. Thoughts??

Where did you find the room for $260? I've been searching and all I see is $325+. That's a great deal!

Three weeks from today...should be backed and ready to head to the airport in the afternoon.:cutie::goodvibes

We are doing Blue Lagoon Dolphin this trip, when I take the girls on our 5 night in July we will do the Atlantis Aquaventure (I have the book your excursion date on my google calendar!) I know it will be warm enough then! I am also going to do Palo with my sister in July, DH and I cancelled our Palo ressies for March -- we like eating with our kids.

Greetings from beautiful Walt Disney World! I've been here on business since Wednesday, and the weather could not be more perfect. Hoping conditions will stay just like this for another month!

Do we have an official meet-up time and location? Last I saw we were trying to decide between 3:00 and 3:30. Not needing the life vests for muster makes 3:30 feasible, but I'm open to either.

I saw the Navigators and Castaway Cay activities list from some of the early sailings, and the Castaway Cay 5K looks like a done deal. I will be there with bells on! (Well, maybe not "bells" per se...)

Hey! I am doing the Castaway Cay 5K as well. Just did my first half-marathon last weekend (Mercedes) in just over 2 hours 15 minutes! See you there!

That's a great time! Congrats! I wish I'd known you were there. DH (Chuck) did the half and I did the full. Even though it wasn't Disney, I love that finisher's hat and shirt. Would have been nice to meet up at the start. Maybe next time...

Is the Fish Extender list complete with the total amount of rooms we will have? I just need to make sure that I have enough supplies for gifts!!!

I just sent a new thread to the board asking where other groups met on the Dream for their FE Meet-n-Greet. I'll let you know what they say-and perhaps we can go from there on the meeting time and place if we've not yet decided.

Did I read correctly that we no longer need life vests for the muster drill?

Who's gettin' excited???? :cool1: We certainly are!!! Our two college-aged sons cannot wait for Spring Break! They've been dealing with the snow in upstate NY and are ready to THAW OUT!! :jumping1:

12 more inches of snow yesterday. We may not get out the back door until May.:scared1::scared1:

We cannot wait for this trip

GeneralMax-
I hear ya...when folks in NY say they are glad they aren't in MN...THAT's a lot of snow...:laughing:

Ok - I had a nice post with ALL info in it last nite, but I guess it took me too long to type it and when I went to "post", I had been logged out pirate:

Anyways, FE List is closed....any new families will be added with the stipulation they will get gifts from those with extras or can form their own FE group. Here is the current plan for distributing gifts (pls try to have your FEs hanging by 6p on embarkation day and try to have gifts delivered by 9p on your day/date:

Day 1/March 13 - Decks 2 & 5, GTY rooms
Day 2/March 14 - Deck 7
Day 3/March 15 - Decks 6 & 9
Day 4/March 16 - Deck 8

**Please refer to this post before you leave for FLA for any updates!!!

Hi....

From my understanding, there will be 2 sail-a-way parties (2:45p and 4:30p) which will last about 30 mins each. The lifeboat/muster drill is at 3:45p and yes, you are not required to wear your lifevests! That will last about 15 mins.

So, I received a recommendation to meet on Deck 12 (starboard side - by the dock, by the Aquaduck...map shows open area), b/c it is fairly open there. If there is bad weather, let's plan on meeting in the Bon Voyage bar adjacent to the lobby (although I hear it is small). My family and I will be in white t-shirts w/Steamboat Willie postage stamp pics on them - yes, DH has no idea on this one yet :rotfl2: I will also try to hold up a sign of a mickey head with Dream 2011 on it!!! Let's plan on 3:15p....that way folks should be on the decks already for the sail-a-way party, or at least onboard! This gives us 25 mins before we need to dash to the lifeboat drill...

**As with the FE distribution plan post, pls check back here before you leave to see if the info has changed/been updated.

Thanks and see you soon.....:banana::cool1::yay::woohoo::cheer2:

I am officially in "panic" mode! Have realized not enough time to get all that I want to get done (working out, clean house, real work, etc) before the trip  Hoping for good weather!

pirate: Heard that we should be getting pirate bandanas in our staterooms on pirate day pirate:

Will keep you updated on anything else I find out. I will have copies of the FE roster for the DISMeet. Hope as many of you can come to it as possible!!
