its actually from the movie "The Dish" though i presume it might be someone elses quote originally. The movie is great too...its about the Antenna Dish in a sheep paddock in Australia used for the first Moon Landing. Funny movie and very heartfelt.View attachment 1037782
I hate to tell you @Z-Knight but your quote is now Instagram famous! Carissa posted this to her stories.
Way to find the silver lining!I can wear my race shirt tonight!
This (technically) Canadian can add, I was wearing the race shirt, a sweater and 2 fleece blankets in my hotel room earlier, temp at 73F and my extremities only STOPPED freezing once I added 2 hand warmers to my core to help reset the autonomic system. #TeamToastyCanadians! Sheesh!
Guess it’s time to show your medal to your relative who expected you would get swept and let them know how wrong they were!Finished. On the bus back to Saratoga. My feet hurt a LOT for at least 5 hours. There was a lot of crying on the course.
What a $#!t show in the finish chute. More details after I plug my phone in.
French fries would go great with The Cheese.SAFD: ok, this is technically a whole race weekend, but it's a cool idea
They should have a whole weekend of nighttime 5Ks, 1 in each park. And they could do in the hotter months, since it's only a 5K and it's at night.
We better get our choice of french fries at the end of this run!
I honestly should have brought handwarmers to MK - would’ve helped! Stay warm! This (technically) Canadian can add, I was wearing the race shirt, a sweater and 2 fleece blankets in my hotel room earlier, temp at 73F and my extremities only STOPPED freezing once I added 2 hand warmers to my core to help reset the autonomic system. #TeamToasty
You WERE a mess at 25 but I never doubted you'd finish.Finished. On the bus back to Saratoga. My feet hurt a LOT for at least 5 hours. There was a lot of crying on the course.

As someone who ended up DLFing in 2018 due to my feet being on fire because of feet issues that started after the 5k and told the medics I was going to be going slow for the last bit. (This was back when the last hard sweep was going onto the Boardwalk trail and you could get away with a slow painful walk for 3ish miles even if you were behind the balloons.) Check your shoes. It might be time to get new ones. That was my culprit back then. Used some shoes I thought were fine and fairly new. Paid for it through the entirety of Dopey.omg same here...my feet were on fire the last 10 miles and that took at least 3 hours to complete. hopefully yours have calmed down a lot
Was it Brittany Charbonneau? I just saw she ran but not what happened. If you don’t know anything about her I recommend looking her up- sure she’s fast, but she really gets the rundisney “spirit.”I read that Brittany (who won today) stayed until the end and helped the last runner to go through the finish line![]()
