SAFD: I wear the shirts for working out. The ones that fit me at least. I don't have too many medals (yet) but I bought a nice display from Etsy with the plan to fill it up.

SAFD: Like many others here, I wear my shirts for training runs and gym. Medals are on racks but I’m officially full. I will need to add a couple of more racks soon.

Thanks! The sandcastle and the popsicle are both virtual run medals. For those I made my own race, because there wasn’t one organized when and where I was or I wanted to be.

As for the medals, I bought a nice Disney metal hanger (similar to what a lot of you have), but it's still sitting in the basement along with my medals. I'm hoping to get around to painting the walls by my "home gym" (a nook in my kids playroom) and hang them soon.

Do you know if your mom interfaced any of the shirts? I feel like the shirts I got from Wine and Dine last year were so thin, they would warp if I tried to sew them onto a quilt. I love that idea though!

That is so cool! What a great idea. I have maybe 100 shirts with so many just sitting in a closet. My daughter has taken up quilting, I think I will see if she is interested. Thanks for sharing!

I don't know if she interfaced them. I do know she had to wrangle the tech shirts so they wouldn't pucker. She said the cotton t shirts were much easier to work with.

EDIT: When I asked her, she said yes, she interfaced all of them.

I wear the shirts I like regularly, the ones I don’t I donate or wear in the corals at the next runDisney race.
The medals started in one room and now favorites and recent ones hang there as the rest cycle to the basement wall. There are a few in a box as well, as room is getting tight, with four more on the way in less than a week I will soon be adding on I think.
My race around the world sits on the wall next to the treadmill.

I'm collecting for the next quilt. I'm not including some shirts this time around, either I don't like the design, or they're from virtual races. I'm using a virtual race shirt as my sleep shirt, and one is just so comfy I don't want to give it up.

SAFD: For extra special races, I have the medals in shadow boxes or displays. This currently cover the 2012 Coast to Coast Challenge, inaugural Star Wars Rebel Challenge, 2017 Kessel Run Challenge, and the 2019 Dopey Challenge (my first marathon). I currently have the 2022 Dopey medals on their own individual display at home.

I tend to use my race shirts for shorter training runs, thus allowing me to preserve the more expensive tech clothing for long runs and/or races.

SAFD: I wear my shirts pretty regularly. This is my current medal display, though I am in the process of redoing it as I have outgrown these racks (I have about 10 more medals that aren't pictured here). I will be switching to curtain rods that will hang the length of my wall. One rod for non-disney races and one for Disney races. More room for all the races I have planned!

I bought the same rack this weekend to start my runDisney medal addiction. I'll also buy a separate rack for my non-Disney races.

Kudos to all of you who donate or sell medals. Mine are too precious to me, considering how uneasy running comes to me, to ever think of doing away with them.

If you haven't received the rack yet, I'll let you know it's amazing quality. I love it and it was worth every penny! If you got the bib holders, though, ignore the directions and mark the holes BEFORE you install the bib holder. You'll thank me later.
