Marathon this weekend....Who's going?!

I was hoping for a little bit cooler weather since I am doing the second half of the relay, but oh well. Hopefully my race partner will run fast enough to allow me LOTS of time to finish! (I'm the slow one!)

That's true. I let her go first since she's never done a Disney race and I have done TONS...wanted her to get the running down Main Street and through the Castle experience...but I feel king of bad that she doesn't get the full finish line experience even though there will be a relay finish line.

I am just glad I finally get to see the second half of the course without having to train for a full marathon!

I was supposed to run the marathon on Sunday. Due to some foot injuries, I can't run. But, since the trip was all paid for and the airline tickets were nonrefunable, DH & I will be enjoying a nice, relaxing, kid-free weekend in the World.

I'm looking forward to cheering the runners on this weekend, but I'm a bit sad that I won't be running.

Running in the half; my second half but my first solo one.

From what I read, the races don't impact EPCOT much, right? We are hoping to spend Sunday there (our only park day) so I'm hoping the full won't impact our plans much. Plus, if I'm there, I'll get to cheer on some of my fellow DISers!

My daughter arrived yesterday (she's running the half on Saturday). She went out for a run at OKW early this morning and said the temp was 32. They're at MK now and she says it's very busy.

We are heading into Orlando on Saturday morning. My DH is running the marathon on Sunday. I can't wait!!!!

We are... DH is running the half on Saturday. Me and my DS want to see him at the finish line, but not sure how to do that. Anyone know? From what I gather, we would have to go to MK and then take the monorail to Epcot. Will the buses be running that early even after the race starts? It's still very early in the morning, but we are hoping we can do it.

I'll be there! I'm doing the relay (first leg... we did the half last year and my running partner decided he wanted the "new" course). We leave tomorrow and stay until Wednesday.

It looks like the resorts are going to be packed... The moderates have all been showing no availability for some time now. The parks weren't too bad last year though so hopefully it won't be too bad. And I'm glad they're keeping the Osborne and castle lights up until Saturday night this year so we have a chance to go see them
