I couldn't find a meet thread yet for this one -- only 519 days away -- so I started one! I, for one, am so excited to finally have our reservation and now just sit back and watch!

I'm thinking we can have a lot of fun with Kermit in Pirate Gear! The pic to the side was one I was able to find online and I put a note to the designers on the DIS Creative Board --- would look great on a shirt and be easy for Fish Extenders!

Update:

I know that it is less than 75 days till departure but I would still like to get to know you all. My situation is a little different as I will not be going on the cruise. My mother and my daughter will be going on a granny and granddaughter cruise. I know it would be nice if my daughter could get to know some of the kids bc she can be very shy at times. I was actually going to take the lime green mickey heads from home depot - write our name and email on them and laminate them to stick on the luggage. Last cruise - we met half the people from our DIS group in the terminal because we all had that on our luggage.

Not sure if anyone is interested or not but on 2 previous cruises our disgroup members wore a piece of lime green yarn around our wrists so they we could identify each other. We met a few from our group at the Radisson and even more at the port.

what items are you looking for in a gift shop?

I promised DD that she could get a new autograph book for the cruise, and was hoping we might be able to get it before the character signing onslaught begins (!).

Looks like there are a good number of of 10-year-old girls in this group, which is great. DD will absolutely love having all those new friends. Gee, might even mean I'll get a chance to visit the adults-only pool!

Welcome to our new cruisers! I love the idea of a meet. Not sure I have lime green yarn anywhere in the house, but could certainly find something somewhere! I am determined we will be early in the port terminal, and will keep an eye out!

I'm working my way through the 'to do' lists. The FE is done, and I'm pretty happy with it.

I've also added Zac Brown to my iPod ... if you haven't sampled him yet, I give up a big recommendation. Great stuff!

We are (IM)patiently waiting now too! However, lots to do before we leave such as write Term 2 report cards... Just not too exciting when we leave in 45 sleeps!

Yes, I reminded DD this morning that she has one month until that report card comes home, and she reacted kind of like this

I also have a big month of tasks at work, which makes all this advance planning so rewarding. No rush at the last minute. LOL

Goes anyone have any advice for gifts for the CMs in the kids' club? I know that DD will end up spending a lot of time there, and I'd like to express our thanks. The few ideas I've seen elsewhere on the boards are items such as candy or phone cards ... but how many people would I need to include?

I saw the video on the DCL jobs site that showed the crew's cabin quarters, and it looked like earplugs might be a good gift for those stuck with a snorer on the lower bunk!

Hello fellow cruisers. I am so ready for this cruise! We had another storm that the weather people missed yesterday. How do you miss a storm that leaves another 6" on the ground? and drops the temps into the artic levels???

We have not started to pack. I will do that the week before the trip. We are not booking any excursions. We will do the beach at St. Maarten then also do the Tram in St. Thomas and probably go over to the Marriott Frenchman's Reef for lunch and enjoy the view of the beach. Maybe a bit of shopping? I am just looking forward to some heat. We went to WDW Dec. 26 through Jan. 5 and no heat! We had one day in the 70's and that was NYEve day. Then it went back down hill. We leave Feb 5 for our parents only trip to WDW and if this cold follows us we will once again miss during pool days I really need so warmth and sunshine. I have had enough of the frigid midwest.

I forgot, I also will skip on the FE exchange. For those who do the FE have fun.

We're doing the excursion where you go snorkeling with the sea turtles....snorkeling in hawaii was awesome, but when i tried to snorkel at Megan's Bay last time, I felt like I was drowning....a litte nervous now!
