so frustrated with Southwest! We have been watching the return flights for months and today they just opened up the cheap seating --- from April 7 to May 25! What happened to the dates between Jan. 11 and April 6? Gone! Geez!

yet another one of my kids has outgrown everything i thought could be worn on the cruise --- more shopping!

how is everyone's fish extender coming? door signs?

if you go to your shutterfly account and enter the code 3FREECARDS you can get 3 folding cards -- you could use those as door signs with magnets on the back...

Is there a gift shop in the port terminal?
And also, does the gym get busy? I saw a reference in one trip report where the writer couldn't get a treadmill. DH is a devoted spinner, and I know will want to take those classes. Do you sign up in the gym directly?

As of last July there was no gift shop in the terminal. There is a small snack bar there that sells coffee, sodas and a few snacks. The gym does have times where it gets crowded. Early morning is usually a safe bet. As for the spinning classes, I have no idea! Sorry! Good luck with your fish extender

I am so excited... I found a nice Calvin Klein suit for DS12 at Macy's online -- on sale -- and it fits

aaaaaand he really likes it

DD10 has been super easy to find cruise clothes for, but DS is so tall and thin that nothing that fits around the waist is long enough so the suit was a major score for mom. Found some dress shoes for him fairly reasonable too. So, except for a shirt & tie, we are all ready for formal night (as long as the dress I have on order looks okay on me (otherwise I have a backup skirt & top).

DD10 is already packed, lol.

Check TJMAXX and Target for some Christmas clearance -- our still have some and they're very nice dresses that are cheap enough - you won't care if they spill chocolate all over them and ruin them after one wear....

Wish I could but we live in Ontario Canada and don't have TJMAXX or Target!
I'm planning a trip to the mall so I should find something! She has a beautiful Cinderella dress from our trip to WDW last year but she now thinks she is too old to wear it out in public. LOL she does wear it around the house though!

gotta say - i am so excited about our FE! Last cruise - we didn't do the traditional FE, we all brought something and passed all the bags from person to person until the Pirate night and then all the kids came back to them in their staterooms -- my kids still have all the stuff! i think it will be cool to come back to them and hopefully see some neat stuff a bunch of times....

does anyone know if they've got a more sophisticated way to communicate between family members now or is the message board still the only way? Can we still get them from the kids' clubs?

My wife's passport arrived yesterday in the mail, so we are good to go now!

And since I just got off the DCL site to enter her info - I know that we are at 50 days!! That's not too far away...

I just realized I had not booked a rental car for disembarkation. I best go do that before the rates get too out of hand.

Happy planning all...it's gorgeous outside (73 today!) and I need to go enjoy it.

Looking forward to meeting you too! Health care is a plus to living in Canada in the snow and cold! However it is very sunny and mild today much like early spring. My kids are asking to ride their bikes!

Question for those who have cruised before...

1) do you have to fill out the forms online ahead of time or are they also available at the terminal to fill out? My DM may have issues with putting her credit card info online.

2) my DD10 is travelling with me but is staying in the connecting cabin with her GM. Will I need to have the notarized letter? I am still on the cruise with her just not in the same cabin.
