Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has had experience with this twist?

Our daughter had a 5-day Park Hopper ticket, but since she has an AP, she used it for entry. I know tickets "expire" now, but I'm wondering if we can use the "value" of it towards a future ticket (for her) or (ideally) for someone else?
