Mar. 13, 2010 Eastern Magic - "Caribbean Amphibians"

snowing again....

at work on Wednesday - my teaching team was going hysterical laughing that I was already packed -- for the most part. They insisted that you don't need to pack more than a couple days in advance. None has ever been on a DCL and only one had ever been on a cruise. They have no idea the props that need to brough on a trip like this!:lmao::lmao:

I can so relate to this! I have just returned from a Teacher Union meeting which was spent mostly chatting about my upcoming cruise and recent trips to WDW, as other teachers are trying to plan (as in not booked yet!!!) trips to WDW for March break in 40 days. Can you imagine??? One other member is planning on a Disney cruise for this summer but has also not yet booked! Well, I had lots of info to share with them.

Thanks also for the updated FE list. This will help in putting the gifts together.

Howdy Y'all

We are another group of Texans that are wanting to be Caribbean Amphibians!

Our travel party is Myself, DH, DS 22 (college student at Texas A&M) and DS 17.

We are also flying into Tampa the night before and driving to the Port the next morning. What time is everyone leaving Tampa?

Sorry we missed the FE exchange. We love to do that!

Welcome Silver! Nice to have you in the group!

Have we established any FE suggestions or guidelines? A couple people have emailed me and asked me and I don't recall. Did we say we were doing one gift per cabin, or several gifts over different nights? Special things for the kids? I don't recall --- any suggestions?:confused3

hi there

Well I am new at the FE thing and I have just put together a bag for each person with a few different items in it (adjusted a bit for adults/children).
This has been lots of fun....I keep adding things!!
open to anything and I can adjust!
Now, gotta attempt to make my FE tomorrow! Got some cool pirate material!

I know - it's cool - the sky's the limit with stuff to find. It seems I've got some more space in my bags than I had last time -- so fill it up I will!

:dance3:

My daughter had a friend over today and they worked on FE crafts with me. It was fun!
Does anyone know the dress code for Palo Brunch? Do the men need jackets or would polo shirts do? I know shorts are out. But how about capris for the ladies?

I can't belive we are only 41 days away!!!! I still have a lot to do!!! I'm getting really excited! Lol I've been spending much more of my time on the disboards. :woohoo::banana::thumbsup2:yay:

Pumpkin,

I wore capris to Palo brunch and plan to do so again. DH wore khaki's (more like those lightweight khaki colored fishing pants if I recall) and a polo I believe. Or he might have even worn a Hawaiian style shirt. I will have to look through our pics from the last cruise.

In any event, a polo shirt is just fine. I believe they request a collared shirt at brunch.

Shelly,

Thanks so much for the info! This helps with packing. Would nice black jeans be allowed for men?

Successful shopping trips continue!! Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to find a nice suit on clearance for DS12 and some decent dress shoes at a reasonable price. And yesterday we hit the jackpot at none other than the Goodwill store! I found two dress shirts - new with tags - and very nice silk ties -- I spent less than $10 for 3 shirts and two ties for him :guilty:

Hi Silver!

We are Texans flying into Tampa (from DFW).
We will be staying at the TownePlace Suites in Tampa just outside the airport. We will then probably hop in the car about 9 AM to head east.

Welcome aboard!

Ok - I've hit that lull where there's no iminent prep to be doneto leave and everything I can pack is packed....twiddle fingers...twiddle fingers....

Same here EJ - I've not even begun to think of packing - that's a week before project!

The good news here is that our T-shirts have arrived. We had some made with Caribbean Amphibian and the Kermit graphic.

If I can figure how to post them - I'll get it done (work is not always conducive to getting simple web functions accomplished!) today.

I have sent copies to Ranidayz - perhaps she can beat me to it!

would that i could. however, it requires a url and how would i even do that? which is why i haven't posted the graphic for everyone because I can't figure out how to do such a thing!

DH is catching the cruise bug. He sorted through the Hawaiian shirt collection this past weekend (yes, there is one, LOL!) and now he thinks he needs to go shoe shopping! :confused3
