man it sucks to be me today (small vent)

As you know I recently started my "dream" job as a travel agent. What I haven't mentioned I'm sure is that we are a specialty company that sells very specific air carriers/destinations. For the last 8 months we have been selling TONS of a major carrier into SE Asia...the premier destination of course being Bali. I have been SLAMMED (and rightly so) with customers trying to cancel their trips! I understand them cancelling, unfortunatly my carrier IS enforcing fare rules which in some cases makes the fare nonrefundable and non changable. Please dont shoot the messanger!!!!!! My hands are tied by their rules!!!! Okay....I feel better now.....
 
Oh, I do feel sorry for you. I'm sure some of those people are incredibly rude. I don't blame them for wanting their money back, but the airlines should be nicer.
 
oooooh how awful for you. I really wanted to go to Bali but I'm not so sure now...scary!
 
Yikes, that puts you in an very awkward position.
 

That is bad. I don't think that they are responding right. Better to let people out of the fare now, then to have people lose money and still not come.:(

Wow! That's too bad but I know that I won't travel abroad with everything going on in other parts of the world. Then again, look what's happening right here in the USA! Annmarie
