A huge thank you to everyone that shared in my joy about Bill's job . He is so happy, we both are.

And now back to my PTR and the ADR saga....

We (I) had made a tentative itinerary – which parks on which days, where we wanted to eat, special things we wanted to do etc. Then I had read that some people had already made their ADR’s on the night they were going to MVMCP even if they were outside the 180 day window, huh? What? You can do this? I was worried that everyone else had made their ADR’s for Liberty Tree Tavern the night we decided to go to MVMCP, so I decided to call Disney Dining.

What is the worst thing they could do? Tell me no? It isn’t like they are going to say “hey we thought you were an Obsessive Trip Planner and knew the drill with the 180 days, you are NOT a good trip planner, quit calling here ” and hang up on me.

So on Saturday May 10th (2 days before my 180 mark) I called them. The conversation went a little like this:

Me: “Hi, we are going to MVMCP on Nov. 11th and I had heard we could make dining reservations early for it??” (I held my breath for the “NO, No ADR for you, now hang up” speech), but heard:

CM: “Yes!! I would be happy to do that for you!!”

I was ecstatic, we got LTT at the time I wanted and then he said something wonderful:

CM: “Would you like to make any more reservations for your trip?”

ME: I stuttered “I thought I had to wait until the 180 mark?”

CM: “Let’s see what days are open for you”.

Our trip is for Nov. 8th – Nov. 18th. We proceeded to go through my list I had written out, all I had to do was write in my confirmation numbers . The only one I didn’t get to make was for our last night, that wasn’t available yet. I was able to do that one on Monday . I was so pleased with myself. I made some assumptions for these ADR’s and it might bite me in the butt, but I can always change the ressies. I have never just made them and left them alone. The “if we do this and move that there, it would make the trip better” thoughts will pop up in my head, I am sure of it.

I was so happy with myself then started thinking. That is not a good thing for me to do. I didn’t think about Spectromagic, OMG I didn’t remember Spectromagic. We have to fit that in somewhere. I just pray

it is happening the night we have scheduled at MK already, if not I will be back on the phone

rearranging things.

Next installment…I have to learn to tune Bill out!

I just pray it is happening the night we have scheduled at MK already, if not I will be back on the phone rearranging things.

My educated guess would be that Spectro would follow the same schedule as it did in October. It was scheduled every night that Wishes was on....this is due to the MNSSHP. So I'm thinking that because MVMCP will be going on, Disney will do the same.

My thoughts as to why they haven't posted hours yet is because they are waiting on stimulis rebate vacations to get booked and our friends from NJ to book their's.

I am having a little panic about the November hours as well...I wish they would just publish those hours already!!! I need to figure out my ADRs!

OMG, I need to learn to tune Bill out. Those beautiful blue eyes and smile are my Kryptonite. I swear I have gone crazy. I am an Obsessive Trip Planner, I don’t do things in a rush. I had made my last ADR on Monday for our trip in November. Now normally I am in a huge rush to get to the computer and put my confirmation numbers on my itinerary spreadsheet. I didn’t do it on Saturday with the first round of ADR’s and I didn’t do it after I got my last ADR set up on Monday .

I let other things get in the way. I just didn’t get around to it. Part of me had to have known that it would have been a waste of time . Bill and I were talking Tuesday while he is home for lunch. As usual we start talking about Disney. He says “now since I know I am still going to be working past June, I wish we would have kept that June trip to Disney”. He looks up, smiles, and I swear I saw his eyes twinkle. I was mesmerized for a moment.

Now usually he says things like this and I will nod :yes: and try to change the subject. This time there was something about his look that was saying “what do you think, is it possible?” The “Obsessive Trip Planner” in me must have been off pacing

because the November park hours were STILL NOT AVAILABLE. This made the fun, carefree me

emerge. See her blinking? She is adjusting her eyes to the light because the OTP

NEVER let’s her out. I could hear myself saying to Bill, “I could work up some prices for June if you want to discuss it later?”

The little thrill I get from planning was already starting to kick in. I needed an intervention, there was no one to stop

me. We loaded up in the van to take Bill back to work, I had the radio on in the background not really paying attention to it, until we pulled into the parking lot.

(SAD PART AHEAD, don’t read if sad things upset you)

There was a news bulletin saying that many of the roads in our town were blocked right now because of a train accident. A train had hit a person in a wheelchair. That person died. Bill and I looked at one another shocked, not really saying anything. He went into his job, I came back home and about 5 minutes later I lost it. All those “what if’s” popped in my head. Before Bill had his van he utilized the public transportation here or just used his chair to go where he wanted to go.

(End of sad part)

Bill has told me many times that life can change in an instant, that he wants to live every day to the fullest. This news made me want to make the Star Wars Weekend trip possible. We were going to do this before all of his ankle pain, we have some vouchers for air fare, we could trim down the November trip and go for it.

So here is the plan:

I still had the hotel reservation in Nashville for June 12th . I had made this through hotwire.com when we had planned the first June trip. It was nonrefundable so we looked at the airline ticket prices for Nashville vs. St. Louis and decided to just go to Nashville. We already had the hotel room paid for and why not try out a different airport?

We are going to be a Pop Century from June 13th – 16th. We are getting AP’s . After checking in at the resort, we are going over to DHS for Star Wars Weekend

. We will be picking up a birthday button

for him. I will be taking pictures of the odd things I will see LMAO . We have 50’s Prime Time ADR’s and will be seeing Fantasmic that night if I have not been taken to the hospital because of a heat stroke by being in Florida in JUNE. Bill forgets I am pooh sized and he loves the hot weather, I will deal with it because I love him .

Saturday we head back over to DHS in the morning to check out things we haven’t seen at Star Wars Weekend, that afternoon we are park hopping to Epcot, having dinner at Garden Grill (our first time) and watching Illuminations.

Sunday is Animal Kingdom morning, our goal is Nemo anything else is a plus, I would like to go on the safari, but we will see. That afternoon we are heading over to Magic Kingdom having lunch at Tony’s and staying for Wishes at 10 and Spectro at 11pm. It is evening magic hours that night, we might just try to stay until close.

Monday is departure day . We did make this a short trip because Bill will have to take some time off when he has his surgery July 2nd. We are looking at the flights to see how late we can stay and might try to go to a park for a bit before we leave, not sure which one.

I know we are crazy

, I know it will be hotter than Hades

, I know I will be cranky

, but I will also remember I will be making memories with the man I love and adore so we will have a good time no matter what happens. Heck I get to go to Disney World twice in one year

, what is better than that??

I've been reading that November Hours thread that you posted to...lucky for us it only the last 3 days of our vacation and our park days at that point have to be based on what we did the first part. Still it would be nice to know. Do you have the list of what is traditionly the best and worst days of the week for each park? If you don't, I have it in excel if you want it.

Good for you ....if you have the money and the time why not? I would too...but we only have one of those things right now.

I've been reading that November Hours thread that you posted to...lucky for us it only the last 3 days of our vacation and our park days at that point have to be based on what we did the first part. Still it would be nice to know. Do you have the list of what is traditionly the best and worst days of the week for each park? If you don't, I have it in excel if you want it.

I have had everything plotted out for November weeks ago, but tyvm for the offer .

I have been having trouble typing SWW, I want to type SSW. I looked on the Disney site and could access all the June hours it was a shock to actually see things on the calendar .

Hi Michelle!! Thanks!! It is only 27 days away and I am not even freaking out yet . I am going to make sure they know it is Bill's birthday at the Garden Grill. A short trip to Disney is better than any day at home. We can't wait!!

Everyone knows Bill has got me wrapped around his little finger. He mentions things and I want to give them to him. It is those darn blue eyes. I can…not…say…NO

! Not in my vocabulary when it comes to him. But, and I always have a big butt LMAO he does the same for me. He is just more verbal about wanting to go places. He is the “I want to do this, how do we plan to make it happen?” person. I am the “I would want to do this but, (see another but) what about Ace, money, time off from work, money..etc.?” Well, you get the point.

For a while now we have been changing this November trip around. We were adding days, subtracting days

, and moving the reservation an entire week because of Super Soap Weekend. It started to not be so fun for Tracy :hooboy: . I don’t like all these changes, it makes me uncomfortable. I like to have a clear cut plan in place. I add to my plan, I look at my plan, then I organize and reorganize. I want to fit everything in that we can. Disney is truly my happy place, I love it there, and it literally feels heartbreaking

the day we have to leave. I just don’t want to let go of that magical feeling and go back to the real world. All this moving, all this aggravation about the November hours STILL not being released was really bothering me.

I found myself bringing up the Ip-Dip Fest* to Bill quite often. I was giving Bill updates about what they were going to be doing. He doesn’t even hardly know the screen names of any of the people going, but I talk about my DIS(Z) friends quite often to him like I have known them forever so he listens to me.

* The Ip-Dip Fest, for those of you that don’t know what I am talking about it is a meet with Montana Disney Fan, Linnie The Pooh, their family and about about 10 other people. I loved “The Man Report”

and had followed MDF’s other TR’s, I also had read Linnie’s “The Woman Report” on the DL board. Linnie and I had PM’d back and forth.

This “Fest” intrigued me

. Buzz (MDF) is hilarious and I couldn’t even begin to imagine what he would be like in real life and Linnie is such a sweetie. I had been following along with the other Ip-Dipper's PTR's, everyone sounded so nice, and thought it would be a great meet.
Bill said that I had been mentioning the “Fest” quite often. He asked me on more than one occasion if I wanted to move the trip to October. I always said no for one reason or another. I was sick of moving the trip, we had purchased MVMCP tickets, etc. Then this June trip came up, it took care of Bill’s birthday, he had really wanted to go to Star Wars Weekend and I was all for it.

The night we booked the trip for June a thought popped in my head. I said to Bill “we have done Super Soap Weekend twice, we are now doing Star Wars Weekend, why not have a trip that doesn’t involve going to DHS for 3 days in a row”? He said “you want to go in October, don’t you”? I said “yes

, I know it sounds crazy to move our trip to do a meet with people we have never even talked to in real life, but it would only be a tiny portion of our trip. We could do MNSSHP

, the Food and Wine Festival will be going on, what do you think”? He said to go for it.

So now we have booked Pop Century for 8 days in October and will try doing many new things this time. I am not freaked out, I am not worried, I have our ADR’s worked out and we have a plan in place which makes me happy.

I know we are nuts, but we will do anything to keep going back to our “happy place”
