Making Orange Lake Requests

We own at OLCC however are trading in for different weeks this year. I would like to request a location in the East Village. Should I call OLCC directly? Do they usually honor requests when made? Do I have a better chance since I allready own there? Thanks for any advice.

According to Vickie on the TUG boards, OLCC honors owner requests first. Then exchangers second, followed by owner referrals and renters. So, since you are an owner you have a better chance of having your request honored.

Just an update. I called OLCC directly and asked about requesting a location. I was told that they will take requests for anywhere but the North and East sections ( What else is left but the West?). I guess too many people have been calling to ask. She did say when we check in I could ask then.

What they probably meant was you could ask for specific areas within the West Village, such as the tennis villas (the high rises behind the clubhouse I think), the golf villas, etc.

Last October, I stayed in the East Village. Don't remember the bldg number, but if you're looking at the pool, it's the one on the left. It was the last bldg, but they may have built more since (they were building behind it on the other side of the course). It was very nice but way away from everything (except the small pool ). You could use the back entrace and get "home quickly, though, until it was locked (10 PM maybe?). The Publix was right there.
