I seem to remember someone mentioning that there's a place at Epcot where kids can help bake chocolate chip cookies. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I know my DD6 would love it, but I can't remember when, where, or anything else!!! Thanks!

Yes. In the Land Pavilion, there is a station called Jr. Chef. I am pretty sure that you need to call in advance though.

No you don't need to call in advance, just show up about 20 minutes before it starts. There is a sign beside the cookie area that lists the time schedule. I think they have it maybe 4 to 5 times a day. Our two sons did this earlier this year and had a great time.

I think they have about 12 children in each session.

They have the times posted there. . .it's sponsored by Nestle. Be sure to have your children get in line early as they only take a few children at a time.

It's offered from 12:30pm to 4:30pm every hour. They'll take about 20 kids at one time - during busy season, it does get full quick, so if you can get there early (30 mins before) I would do so and line up.

Each child will receive a paper chef's hat with their name on it, then they'll stand in a line on the podium. 2 chefs will assist the kids. Each child gets a chance to put 1 ingredient into the bowl, then each child will dump 2 cookie dough on the cookie sheet. The cookies then go into the "magic" oven and while they wait, they'll clean off their hands with a wet wipe. Once the cookies are done, the kids get 2 Nestle toll house chocolate chip cookies and the chef's hat. Very exciting for the younger kids. The whole thing takes about 20-30 minutes.

This is my son's favorite thing to do at Epcot that we usually go more than once. While he and I do the cookies, DH takes older DS to Innoventions to play video games. It really works out because older DS doesn't get bored waiting for his brother, and younger DS and I don't really care for video games. It's a great way to get 2 things out of the way at one time.

Does anyone know the ages for this? Sounds like a lot of fun!

If I remember the min age is 4. My kids did it Sept 2005. Our DS was only 3 and had a meltdown because he wasn't old enough. The 1 chef said that he could help as long as an adult stayed w/ him. Don't know how often they would make that exception though. When the kids did it they only had a 7 kids total.

I'm really hoping dh will slow down long enough for dd(5) to do this. :bitelip:
