Making busy days count

What are some of your best strategies for making busy days at Disney count? I have always been able to have a great day in the park even on the busiest days I have gone.

I will ride some of the less popular rides and pay more attention to when the shows and entertainers are performing. I will walk around a people watch too. Ride the railroad

Obviously Rope Drop, and if you are paying the penalty to be a Disney resorts guest, EMH. FP+ the best rides available.

Rope drop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even on busy days you get more done that way

I try not to fight it. Relax and do what I can. Shop, take a long lunch. If it's unbearable, leave and take a resort break.
