Another question...

Can Sunny (3 yrs old) ride Kali River Rapids in AK? She is the height of an average 3 year old but IDK exactly how tall... And she'll grow by December cuz she'll turn 4.

Here is a list I found. You can type in a height and see what rides are restricted. HERE--->http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/height.htm Kali says 38'' ...... so she should be good to go!

The height requirement on Kali is 38 inches. We tried to take Bella on it last September and she barely squeeked under the "you must be this tall to ride" line. In fact, her hair was over the line but apparently they don't count hair because the CM standing there would not let her ride! She was devastated and I must admit I was really disappointed - literally 1/4 of an inch! I suggest you take an accurate measurement of Sunny before you go to Disney and steer her in a different direction if others in the family want to go on rides she isn't tall enough for. Better to avoid the tears and disappointment if possible.

or, if the height difference is only 1/4 inch, put insoles in the heels of her shoes (i didn't say that)

Linda...

I was thinking the same thing....

And for any Wish Trip parents out there....

If the child they are refusing to ride is a wish child and just off by a fraction - fill their shoes with toilet paper and try again in a few hours. :rolleyes1

And I didnt' say that either....... :rolleyes1

I must admite that you both have me laughing hard.:lmao::lmao:
But since my son is definatly on the small side (only 14% for his age) I think I will have to keep son insoles in our bag.:rotfl:

I can't believe we leave in 19 days. It is completly crazy.

I am trying to get everything together but of course now some of the worries are setting in. So I am praying that my son remains healthy (as well as everyone else) and no hurricane's hit that part of florida during any of the upcoming wish trips.:thumbsup2:grouphug:

Oh my goodness, I've been thinking the same exact thing. Richard went to the doctor today and he is the best he's been in two years and all I keep thinking is please let it last. Funny with CF, you know how sneaky it is and your always waiting for that shoe to drop.

I will keep your little guy in my prayers and send you some good health vibes.

Thanks Terry, Richard is in our prayers as well.

We did have a bit of a scare this morning. Liam started having a coughing fit at breakfast and I was contimplating taking off from work so I could take him to the doctor. Things started getting a little fishy when he asked to play the Wii. I explained that if he stayed home we would have to go see the doctor and there would be no time for Wii. He quickly decided that he was well enough to go to Nana's house. I do believe he had a cough, but he sure tried to use his illness to stay home and play some games. I'll have to watch that in the future. Of couse I told my mom to call me if he continued to have coughing fits. After his two neb treatments in the morning he was fine.

Hello, I am neww to this site and am presently reading some of the trips. WOW~~~~These are great. My sons MAW is on September 21-27th and he has wished to go to WDW. We are so excited. I am looking for any suggestions to make this the best trip ever. We have never been there and this is our first real vacation as a family. Any suggestions on any of the best rides or shows? Or how long to spend at each park to get the most out of our time?

Sorry for soooo many questions, I am both excited and nervous!:goodvibes:upsidedow

We just went in May and didn't do a lot of planning and just went with the flow..and it was by far the best trip we have ever been on. I don't think we can ever go back to Disney as it was so perfect anything else will be a disappointment..we spent a day a sea world, a day at Universal, one at Epcot one at Magic and just a little time at animal kingdom but it was REALLY hot...
Our trip report is down below if you are interested..

I am right with you. We leave in 9 days and both boys are sneezing and coughing. Lucas' immune system is still so low from the chemo. So I am praying that they stay healthy. I keep watching the weather maps and holding my breath. So I am praying the same thing.

Can you believe our dates are almost here!!!!!!

Hello all! I have not been here in quite some time but thought I would pop in and say hi.We are in Boston at Children's right now so I have some extra time on my hands to get caught up.Hannah is here recovering from a major hip surgery. It has not been fun, especially since she is in a SPICA cast , but she is recovering well.Just wanted to say Welcome to all the new freinds!

I know you're in Kentucky too and our weed pollens are really high right now. Hopefully all they have are allergies and once they get away from this crazy state and our crazy pollens they'll clear up nicely. Mikaela and I have been sneezing a lot lately too and she is full of mucus. The poor thing is so prone to sinus infections that if I don't catch her allergies early (she has Nasonex) we are certainly antibiotic bound. I think I got it this time because she was much better this afternoon than she was when I sent her to school. Hey that reminds me. I need to take MY Zyrtec :)

Good luck to ya that the icky bugs stay away from your WHOLE family!!

HeatherN,
I hope Hannah is ok. I am in the process of reading your trip report. Your kids are beautiful and love the stories especially the pressed penny one about the womens bathroom. Hannah will be in our prayers we know things like this can be tough we have an 8 year old that has been through two back surgeries in 9 months time frame!! PLease keep us posted on Hannah's condition. Hope all the memories from her trip keep her smiling.
Take Care,
Lori

:welcome: to the DISboards!!!

I am not sure how much information you want. I could literally fill up this page with information! :)

I have a few hints...

* No matter what anyone tells you - don't wait in a character line. :thumbsup2 Ask a Cast Member and show them your special button and they will get you to the right place and you should not have to wait long.

* Always have a camera out and ready...you never know when you are going to wish you had it. :)

* Have FUN! Soak it all up.

And I have about 100 more hints.... How many ya want? :)

Also praying for Hannah!! :)

Does anyone know where I can get my hands (or eyes) on some park maps?

http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/index.htm

You might be able to print these out... not sure though.

But if not you can get your eyes

I would be happy to give you very specific advice about your trip including theme park days, packing and shopping.

What is the age and gender of the Wish Child?

What are the ages and genders of any other kids going?

Will you be staying at Give Kids the World Village, a Disney Resort or elsewhere?

How far/ long will you be travelling and when are you scheduled to arrive at and depart from Oralando?

Bill
